Great hog scope or anything other game from 100 yards and closer. Adjustable illuminated red dot in the center, lead / windage marks in the plex. Crystal clear glass. Well worth the money. Bring it back Leopold.
The ultimate deep woods hunting scope.
I've been after this scope for a long time. They are not easy to find. I have it mounted on a Marlin 1895 Dark Series, which will serve well for a handy deer and bear hunting rifle in a blind. Its low power and illuminated reticle capabilities make it arguably one of the best deep woods hunting scopes, IMO.
The VX-R HOG features legendary Leupold quality, push-button illumination system and a specially designed FireDot PigPlex reticle. The illuminated reticle is calibrated to frame up a mature hog and provide the perfect amount of lead on running boars. Our Motion Sensor Technology (MST) automatically turns the illumination system to "standby" mode after five minutes of inactivity, then reactivates whenever the rifle is moved. You get a bright, crisp aiming point; maximum light transmission; low-profile mount; and a forgiving eyebox for a comfortable cheek weld and faster target acquisition. With the VX-R HOG, you're rigged for pig.
