This is the nicest small scope I have ever used in the bush at the low setting I can shoot with both eyes open on running animals and on 6 power I have taken moose at 300 yards.

This is my favorite optic for thick woods hunting. It's noticeably brighter than straight tube scopes in the poorest of lighting conditions, still can be mounted in low rings on most rifles, has an incredibly wide field of view and huge exit pupil on low, has plenty of magnification for medium-large game species out to 300-400 yards, has a generous eyebox for heavy recoiling rifles/shotguns/muzzleloaders, is more compact and lightweight than anything similar in its class, and holds zero like a champ. When paired with Alumina flip covers, this scope is ideal for a hunting gun targeting medium-large game species under 400yds. It's right at home on leverguns, bolt actions, single shots, shotguns, and muzzleloaders. I hate to see Leupold discontinue this model; please bring it back. It was indeed a premium offering for real world hunting.

I've have about 8 of these scopes and love them. When I herd they were going to be discontinued I purchased 2 more. This is the ideal hunters scope, light in weight and compact. 1.75x power for close range and 6x for any reasonable long range. I've use them on my Dangerous Game rifles, and yes I have bet my life on them.
