When I came to write this review, I noticed someone already had the same issues. Lack of options in mounting these to the action, leaving very little room to adjust for eye relief. Front unit overhangs the ejection port regardless of orientation. Screws for the front mount are too short to grab properly and will strip out if follow the instructions and torque to 22 inch pounds. Leupold needs to take another look at this mount and design it properly. Really disappointed with Leupold on this one, expected better!

Disappointed to find that the front mount overhangs the ejection port on my X-Bolt Pro in 30-06. About a 1/16" overhang in the ring forward position, and about 3/16" in the ring rearward position. In trying to mount a VX-5HD 3-15x I need the ring rearward orientation to get close to the correct eye relief, since the VX-5HD has a very tight window of adjustment forward of the erector dials. Looks terrible, and is unacceptable to me. I can't say if it would interfere with ejection or not because I won't be keeping these with this poor of a fit up. I was happy to find the lightweight one piece design, but I expect more from Leupold.
