Another outstanding product from Leupold.
Another outstanding product from Leupold. Super clear optics, and the firedot reticle draws your focus to the target. Easy to set up and mount on my rifle. It really has improved my shooting experience.

Not happy with Leupold
I bought this scope VX-5HD from Cabela's and when I got it home it was totally out of focus and the side focus knob would not move. It was totally froze up. I then had to drive 80 miles round trip to return it. For a scope that cost over $1000 I expect better. Does Leupold not inspect there products before they ship them out? What a waste of a day.

Absolutely stunning clarity in low
Absolutely stunning clarity in low light. I have several VX freedom series, older VX3 series, and a Vortex Razor LHT.
This is clearer edge to edge over the Razor and the firedot is perfect for low light. What surprised me the most was that I can zoom in to 8x without any discernible loss in clarity or brightness. High ring mounts are needed but so worth it.

This is bye far the best scope any serious hunter can buy. Power adjust for close or those long range shots. This scope draws light in for those last minute shooting opportunities. The firedot is amazing for getting on target in low light situations. This is an outstanding high quality and American made scope. Do yourself a favor and only hunt with the best. Buy Leupold products.

I just got the vx5
I just got the vx5 late this season and it was exceptionally easy to site in and preforms better than I had imagined. It came highly recommended from several friends that also use it. It's been great for deer and elk at medium to longer ranges in western Montana. Overall I found the scope very user friendly, fantastic optical quality and very light. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality precision addition to their gun.

I love my new scope.
I love my new scope. I upgraded from a VX freedom 3x9x50 with a firedot and man it's a huge difference. Would highly recommend this scope.

Perfect for those high country
Perfect for those high country Rocky Mountain hunts and the hunt i did back in Oklahoma. Fits perfect on my Weatherby. I do not own another scope that comes even close to this one. Money well spent. I own 3 Leupold scopes and this one is my favorite.

I wanted a higher end
I wanted a higher end scope for a hunting rifle that wasn't so heavy. This is a 30 mm scope that allows for a great amount of light and clarity but with a reasonable weight. I am very pleased with this scope and my next purchase will be a Leopold!

Super clear optics & easy to zero. I have still not installed the battery to use the fire dot. Seems unnecessary.
I do wish flip covers had been in stock when i purchased the scope.

I lost my CDS dial
I lost my CDS dial twice, even after tightening down the screws on an elk hunt. This was pretty detrimental.
