Like most, I've spent endless nights researching long-range scopes - glass, turrets, magnifications, low light, weight, size, plex, etc I get it! Just so you know where I'm coming from, I've shot and owned the NightForce NXS, Swarovski X5 and Z5, and Zeiss Conquest all of which were good; however, after shooting and hunting with the VX-6HD, I've now sold all of my other scopes. Great Product
I bought this scope to fit in top of my Weatherby Mark V for achieving longer distance elk hunting capability during late season in the Colorado scrub oaks. The weather is very cold in late December and the wind makes it worse. The scope performed flawlessly in these conditions and the images through the scope are clear/crisp. Before the hunt we sighted in the scope at elevation and with temps around 0 degrees, no issues with sight in at all with a few shots at 50 yards and the same at 100. W...

The 2-12x42 VX-6HD Riflescope boasts 2nd Generation Argon/Krypton Waterproofing, featuring our proprietary Argon/Krypton gas blend. This blend significantly reduces the effects of thermal shock and minimizes the diffusion of gases sealed inside your scope, surpassing even our proven nitrogen technology.
The 30mm maintube, crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft quality aluminum, offers remarkable strength and allows for a greater range of windage and elevation adjustment. The powerful 6:1 zoom ratio ensures crystal clear images from edge-to-edge throughout the entire magnification range. The Twin Bias Spring Erector System, featuring beryllium/copper alloy leaf springs, provides 30% more holding force to withstand intense recoil and abuse.
The riflescope also features the Leupold Ballistics Aiming System, available in select models. With multiple aiming points for longer ranges, varying wind speeds, and infinite power selector settings to match your rifle's ballistics, this system can help you master long-range shooting.
The FireDot Illumination technology provides the perfect blend of daylight illumination and optimal light transmission and contrast for low light hunting situations. The generous eyebox allows for faster target acquisition, even at higher powers, providing incredible head position latitude, edge-to-edge brightness, and a full clear sight picture.
The Guard-Ion rain shedding coating is extremely durable, scratch-resistant, and effectively sheds water, dirt, and fingerprints. The proprietary MST (Motion Sensor Technology) automatically deactivates illumination after 5 minutes of inactivity, yet reactivates instantly as soon as any movement is detected.
The riflescope also features a reversible throw lever that clamps onto the VX-6HD power selector, providing leverage for fast magnification changes, whether you're left or right-handed. The Twilight Max Light Management System ensures maximum light transmission, balancing colors to develop the highest possible contrast and controlling glare with special mechanical structures.
The twin bias spring exerts up to 30 percent more holding force on the erector, virtually eliminating erector system backlash and stress on the vital internal workings of the scope, for longer life.
