Have owned Leupold scopes, binos and now spotting scope since I bought my first scope with paper route money at 11 years old. That was 53 years ago!!

I bought Leupold Binoculars because
I bought Leupold Binoculars because I buy all Leupold scopes in VX5 & VX6 on my multitude of hunting rifles. I love the clarity and brightness they provide on western hunts. Unless your going to buy high end European glass, Leupold is the way to go.

Excellent quality and clarity. Zoom is extraordinary. These are perfect if you are stationary, but the weight would not be great if they were in a harness and you were mobile needing to glass quickly. This is not what I purchased these for, so I am super happy and satisfied.

super sharp, clarity, low light and good w/glare!
i had another brand of binoculars before this one. they were $750, won't say what brand. couldn't get the diopter set good enough, so the image looked like two identical photoshop layers with one layer's opacity slightly lowered and slightly blurred, and threw your eyes off. sent them back, they sent me another pair. same thing. sent them back again and got a third pair, same thing again. they were also not good in low light at all and bad with glare. sold them, and picked up a 12x50 santium hd. it's perfect, the diopter adjustment set in correctly, looks like one image. finally! didn't have the problem like three pairs of the other brand did. the sharpness, clarity on the santium is awesome. and super good with glare and awesome in low light. i could still get a sharp image and could focus out and was still able to focus back in to get a sharp picture right before dark. i see alot of other people complaining about the uncomfortable eye cups, but they don't bother me, even when looking through them for long periods. i don't have to pull the eye cups out either, so i don't have to worry about them moving. the gen 2 bx-4's winged eye cups are really nice though, tried them out. it would be nice to have them for the bx-5's. i don't like the new grip on the gen 2 bx-4's though, they look and feel cheap. hopefully if leupold does a gen 2 bx-5, they keep the same grip as their current version. i'm betting that won't happen though. i don't know, maybe alot of customers gave feedback and wanted a "better grip", but seems the opposite to me. just doesn't grip and looks cheap. the original bx-4 and bx-5 grip just looks like higher quality. but yes, bx-5 is sharp all the way out! focus wheel friction is really good, but sorry another complaint, it would be nice if the diopter ring was locking like the bx-4 or the viper hd. the ring on the bx-5 is supposed to be a tight friction, but it still moves around. leupold, make a locking diopter ring if you come out with a gen 2 bx-5! still five stars though, these are awesome binoculars.

No joy on the Elk
No joy on the Elk but saw a lot of really cool stuff and had a great time up in the mountains. Would definitely recommend them. They are very clear and the eye relief is significant so eye fatigue wasnt really a problem.

Good clarity, great optics. Only complaint is the eye cup, the eye cup has a ridge on it, verse being smooth. So after long hours behind the glass it digs in, and is uncomfortable. If leupold fixed this eye cup, I would give 5 stars.

Optics are really clear, but the only down side for me is that the image gets a little shaky if you don't have a steady hand or something to brace with. I wish they had a image stabilizer in them. Other than that it is a great product.

The glass clarity and sharpness make the world around feel magestic, and the field of view makes finding your object easy. The one odd aspect to me are the eye cups. The FOV is short enough that they don't need to be extended, which is good, because when they are extended, they cut off the outsides of the FOV. This ended up being a non-issue for myself, but it is the only reason that I couldn't put 5 stars. On the other hand, the focus knob is smooth rolling and really feels like a piece on a luxury optic. It is simply a pleasurable experience to look through these binoculars.

These binoculars are great. I'm a guide, so I spend a lot of time looking through binoculars. I've used these on several hunts this summer and they have far-exceeded my expectations. They're big binoculars, so wouldn't be my first choice for someone who does a lot of spot and stalk hunting and doesn't want to have two pairs of binoculars. Only complaint I have is the case, which is too small. Had a hunter order the BX-4 12X50s, which are significantly smaller binoculars. Same case as the 15X56s, and fit the 12X50s perfect. BTW, the BX-4 12X50s were also great binoculars and I would highly recommend them, especially for a spot and stalk hunter.

they are super light and extremely clear. At low light they are very impressive. I'm hoping to see a rangefinder option with this same quality and clarity. Totally worth the wait!!!
