I like it in the

I like it in the fact that it uses 2 screws to mount to the gun vrs other mounts that only use 1. I bought this as it has the extended peice to cover up the factory rear sight mounting holes. But that peice, it's plastic, wish it were metal. But if it was metal then filing down the front part so it'd slip under the rail on my S&W 629 would of been harder to do. (Leaving the rail off made it look terrible.) I wanted to keep it back on the gun vrs up front on the rail. It worked on my 629, but not my 686, 4" barrel. On the 686, it was maxed out on elevation, and still 3" low at 25 yards, didn't even try to backup any farther. This may be due to the DeltaPoint Pro itself tho, as it's aiming point was not clear, looked like a broken led tail light.. 4 stars due to the cheap plastic "cover".

Mossberg 835

Paired this base with a delta point pro on my mossberg 835. Screw holes match up perfectly and easy to install. It does sit a little wider than the rail if your particular with how stuff fits or looks but works great. Shooting 3 1/2 turkey loads and I've had zero issues with any of it.

Does not fit Remington

The description says this works on Remington shotguns. I was skeptical looking at the picture but ordered it anyway thinking maybe the picture wasn't the exact item. This will not fit on factory drilled and tapped Remington receivers. I guess I will have to have my gunsmith drill and tap an extra hole to get it to work. The holes do however line up for the Mossberg shotguns. I don't have a Browning shotgun but looking at pictures of the factory scope base for them, I doubt it would work on that with out adding an extra hole either.
