Useless in heavy brush. But great for finding dog poop when fido runs off to the neighbors yard. The flashlight lets you go in for the bagging with accuracy. I guess its kind of hunting, right?

So far so good never thought that a small compact thing could see so much

This thing is great. Amazing piece of technology. Easily picks up heat from 200-300 yds. Also gives you the actual surface temperature and allows you to take pictures.

I bought this for tracking wounded deer and looking for pigs & coyotes at night. For the price, it works great. Especially if it's less than 50 degrees out. I have seen squirrels on it at 50yds. The usb rechargeable battery lasts a long time too. I could have done without the flashlight feature. This thermal is nice to keep in your pack.

Useful tool in the arsenal. Pretty good features with this one. Battery lasted a little over an hour after full charge. Good handheld but could have better battery life. #sweepstakes

Works like a charm! Easy to change the view mode (filter), capture images, and operate the built-in flashlight. Great device.

It works great, unless the target runs into the brush then it has a hard time picking up the heat signature. Other than that it's a great product.

I use this to check campsites for cougars, bears, raccoons, etc. If it's alive, you're going to easily see it. I also use it in communications work to look for overheating RF amplifiers and connectors on radio sites. The form factor does take getting used to, because it's like using a cell phone rather than holding it up to your eye like a scope. The resolution is great, and it's about as easy to see what you're looking at as a Flir with MDX thermal/visual overlay. (Which is useless at night because its visual cam can't see anything) If you're looking at a hot breaker in a panel, you can easily see what it is, there's no shapeless blobs with this device. The flashlight is handier than I thought it would be, because if you see something lurking in the brush, you already have the device in your hand, so you don't need to grab a separate light to illuminate whatever it is. Connects with USB and you download photos like any digital camera. My Linux machines instantly recognize it, as well as Windows 7 and 10.

Fun to play with the kids around the house but useless for hunting. It does not pick up blood at all and barely differentiates animals 20 yards away from its surroundings.

Had it for two days now and it is amazing! Found out some interesting facts about thermal technology that I didn't know before. Found out how to hide from thermal completely was cool, just in the first day!! I just love it for camping when your in places that can eat you! Takes away wild animals seeing you first, with this it's the other way around! Sense of relief knowing that I can see a bear before he sees me!! With this thermal imager, nighttime is as safe as daytime! 300 yard range gives you that added comfort at night! Camp fire doesn't effect it in any way!
