Great scope, almost perfect

Great scope with very clear glass. 4/5 stars mainly because of 2 specific things: 1. The lines on the elevation turret are very difficult to tell if they are lined up with the reference line. The reference line is only half as wide as the lines on the knob so difficult to tell which 0. 1 mil I'm on. And then the reference line for the windage know is VERY far away from the actual turret. The line should've either been carried through the threads or been placed inside of the threads closer to the knob. 2. The reticle and subtensions could be just a hair thicker. Easy to see at 35x but most people use it closer to 20-25x.

The versatility and user friendliness

The versatility and user friendliness of these scopes are unmatched in my opinion. I have 2 now and plans of getting a 3rd one for my wife's new build. My biggest takeaway has been these scopes ability to grab light. Makes a huge difference on those first light, time to shoot moments.

This is an incredible optic,

This is an incredible optic, I don't want the rest of my review to take away from the performance of the optic or the capability of the reticle, in daylight. I have deducted two stars from what would otherwise be a 5 star optic because of the lack of illumination at this price point. This would be my go to scope if Leupold had included illumination or at least a more bold vertical stadia on the PR-2 reticle which allowed for some level of precision during dawn and dusk at the lower magnification ranges. In lieu of that, even an illuminated center dot would be great. For some reason, Leupold continues to make what would otherwise be phenomenal optics with limited reticle choices, especially if you are looking for an illuminated reticle.

Very clear glass, took my MK12 out to 700 yards with ease. My only complaint is the windage marker being slanted, makes it unnecesarily difficult to get an accurate windage dial. So far so good.

Arrived broken. Would not zero

Arrived broken. Would not zero with all shots falling about an inch to the right. Sent back to Leupold (having to pay shipping for an RMA was a nice touch) for repair. Scope was mounted in a different set of rings on a different rifle when returned but had the same result. Just going to cut my losses at this point and go in a different direction.

The perfect scope to keep

The perfect scope to keep my AR10 with a Proof carbon barrel light. Forgiving eye box, wide magnification range, and light. Very quick sight in measuring my miss with the MOA reticle and making adjustment. Verify group/zero, slip your zero stop, good to go. Knobs are easy to read with my older eyes and have great feel and ergonomics. I'm very satisfied with my latest Mark V.

Absolutely love this scope. This is my first 56mm scope, and what a huge difference. I wanted to see how long i could still see deer after sunset. I was able to still see a deer almost 1 hour later. The amount of light this scope let's in, is amazing. I will be purchasing another one. Keep up the great work Leupold!

Awesome scope, clear, lightweight and reliable

Excellent scope. Clear glass and packed with features in a form factor that is lighter than NF and top tier Vortex scopes of the same class. I bought this scope to put on a new rifle I was getting to take on a trip to South Africa. I wanted the illuminated reticle for low light shooting and the tremor 3 reticle for after the hunt on long range shooting adventures. This scope has been a great addition to one of my magnum rifles and an addition to all the other Leupold scopes I have on my other rifles currently.

Great glass, yes it is harder to see the reticle when positioned at 3. 6 but I dont think one thing takes away from the entire scope. I just turned the power up a little bit and I'll leave it at that level. Overall wonderful product and I would recommend this.

I've owned and shot 95% of your premium brands, Kahles, Nightforce, S&B, Razors, etc and none are as good as this scope. The turrets are incredible, the glass is brighter than all of the other scopes and on par with the Kahles. The glass shows more color to my eye at extreme distance 1500 yds and beyond than my Kahles which is why it replaced it on my 338 Lapua.
