I have two of these scopes on my . 308 and 6. 5 Grendel AR platform hunting rifles. I have the duplex with fire dot reticle on both scopes. I shot two deer last year at 160 yards. I have older eyes with corrected vision. Both shots were right where I aimed. The glass is clear and the side focus and fire dot made both relatively easy shots. I am very pleased with this scope and I would highly recommend this scope for hunting.

I paired the VX-5HD 2-10X42 CDS-ZL2 Firedot with a 270. Perfect mag power for my hunting distances, but I've had fun shooting at steel silhouettes several times to 550 yds with solid fatal hits. On a recent hunt, I took a shot near sunset that would not have been possible without the Firedot. Optics clarity is amazing in all conditions. 

I'm looking for a scope to pair with a 360 Buckhammer for an upcoming IL trip, and it's hard to find an alternative to this all around scope.

Zero issues mounting and the same for holding zero. Clarity second to none. For my use side focus is a must and this scope has it with smooth operation. Also, I like the light gathering advantages of a 30mm tube. I am 75 years of age and Leupold scopes make up for age and bifocals. I could spend more but won't find better.

Solid light weight hunting scope. Super clear, clearer than my Vortex Razor LHT and perfect repeatability. I've only had it out to 400 yards in the PNW low level light region of the States, but I'm very confident that I will have no problems out to 800yd in this low level light environment. My only issue is that I am unable to use Talley light weight style rings on a long or medium action to get the correct eye relief.

Beautiful scope! I had a little trouble getting the crosshairs to align using bubble levels but I got it figured out using a plumb bob instead of the level on the turret. Have not taken it to the range as of yet but soon. Mounted on a Tikka T3X 300 Win Mag.

Outstanding optic with very nice

Excellent scope. Wanted a higher magnification scope for a tack-driver varmint gun. 15X is not enough. 25X is too much. 20X is just right. Love the firedot even during daylight. Gives you an exact aim point. I have the firedot option a scope for my deer rifle too. It extends shooting time 10 to 15 minutes at dusk.
