Like most, I've spent endless nights researching long-range scopes - glass, turrets, magnifications, low light, weight, size, plex, etc I get it! Great Product
I bought this scope to fit in top of my Weatherby Mark V for achieving longer distance elk hunting capability during late season in the Colorado scrub oaks. The weather is very cold in late December and the wind makes it worse. The scope performed flawlessly in these conditions and the images through the scope are clear/crisp. Before the hunt we sighted in the scope at elevation and with temps around 0 degrees, no issues with sight in at all with a few shots at 50 yards and the same at 100. W...

Features
6:1 Zoom Ratio
A versatile 6:1 zoom ratio gives you 6 times more magnification at high power than at low power, so you can dial your power way down for close encounters or all of the way up for long-range shots. The larger the zoom ratio, the more versatile one scope can be.
Side Focus
The side focus adjusts the scope's parallax, making the reticle clearer and have less perceived movement when you're shooting at different distances.
Custom Dial System
Leupold's Custom Dial System (CDS) gives you the ability to customize your turret (adjustment dial) to your exact ballistics and environmental conditions. Once your new custom dial is installed, simply range the target, turn the dial to that number, and aim dead on.
Second Focal Plane
In Second Focal Plane (rear focal plane) scopes, the reticle stays the same size while the target grows and shrinks when you adjust the magnification. These reticles are ideal for lowlight hunting situations and in scopes that don't utilize hash marks for range estimation.
Zero Lock Dial
The ZeroLock system eliminates accidental dial movement by locking it in place.
