This is a GREAT scope! It's light weight, simple, and the glass is very clear. When I mounted it, I took 1 shot at 25 yards, 1 at 50, 1 at 100, and 1 at 200. We had 1 inch target stickers on the 200 yard gong. I handed it to my 15 year old nephew and he shot every sticker off the target, 1 round each. He warned me that he'll be stealing it soon. I don't blame him.

Excellent scope for the money. The 50mm objective lens gives me more light collection and really helps during low light situations. Leupold does an awesome job with the VX Freedom lineup and provides great bang for the buck!

I purchased this as a budget option that still possessed the CDS Duplex. As such, the optic meets every expectation. All performance measures are in line with Leupold quality and price point. The only complaint, and the reason for four versus five stars is the lack of positive click adjustments in the windage turret. It just isn't as crisp as I would like, and it is easy to over/under adjust as a result. Overall, a great value for features, but if your expectations of finishes is higher, go for the VX-3HD.

I really do appreciate the features and quality of this scope, particularly the generous eye relief and glass clarity. It's perfect for my application on a Ruger Marlin SBL chambered in 45-70. It sits just far enough forward that I was able to keep the rear peep sight. So, mounted with quick-detach Leupold rings, it gives me the ability to quickly remove the scope if necessary and switch to iron sights.

I obtained a Leupold VX3 2-8 x 32 around 22 years ago and loved its quality. Although I love my job as a Deputy, my budget is limited. Recently, however, I was able to purchase a new Leupold VX3. and I couldn't be any happier with the performance of Leupold Optics.

I paired this scope to my hunting rifle a Savage 110 trail hunter 270 Win. Its a perfect match regarding size, weight, and magnification. the scope is clear and crisp. I've been shooting out to 200 yards using the 2 moa Subtension mark and I have been hitting dead on, hoping to be shooting further soon. My goal is to shoot out to 400 yards solely using the Subtensions marks. My range time has been during sunset hours with the sun directly in front of me. I have not experience any glare or fogginess like I have with another very popular brand that rhymes with "ortex". The performance you get for the money invested far exceeds my expectations. A great product.
