It's okay. I was a little worried because I never looked through a scope with the diamond reticle. It's actually really small, and the amount of sub tension isn't even noticeable. I wouldn't go shopping specifically for the diamond reticleI; it would not influence my decision one way or the other. Anyway, I mounted it to a Ruger American Ranch in 5. 56, and it shoots about the same as the Leupold 3-9 Mark AR it replaced. The clarity is so much better! I have no idea how the custom dial program is supposed to work. It's not explained in any of the papers. Probably marketing hype. It's a decent scope.
