Mounted this scope on my 44 mag with an 8in barrel. Eye relief is absolutely perfect and glass produces a bright ultra clear picture. After sighting in the scope I ran two boxes (100 rds) of very hot magnum hunting rounds. Scope maintained zero. I highly recommend this scope for all my serious fellow handgun hunters.

I AM USING THIS SCOPE ON A S&W 460 MAG TO HUNT DEER AND HOGS. THE SCOPE LOOKS AND WORKS GREAT.

Purchased a Smith and Wesson XVR 460 revolver earlier this year. I've been wanting to scope to take advantage of its accuracy. My eyes aren't getting any younger. The Leupolds are the only optic that I trusted to stand up to the recoil. Also love the way it looks on there.

This is the perfect scope for handgun hunting. I mounted it on my Ruger Super Redhawk, 44 mag, 9.5" barrel. I originally purchased the 4x scope, and found that the field of view was too narrow for shots under 50 yards. On the 2x scope, when the parallax adjustment is all of the way in, it appears to be closer to 1x , or no magnification. This may be ideal for 10-50 yard shots, so you can quickly acquire a moving target. When you adjust the parallax midway to fully extended, it is closer to 2x, which is better for 30-100 yard shots. 100 yards is the most I plan on shooting with a 44 mag, but if I had a 454 Casull, or 460 mag, I would probably go with the variable power handgun scope.

I have this scope on a 460 S&W and have around 80 rounds through it and it still holds a 1" group at 100 yds

Leupold has never let me down and I use Leupold on each firearm I own. When I recently purchased my new 44 magnum and want to equip with a scope. VX-3 in silver was my first choice. The optics are clear and handles the recoil with no issues at all.

Works great on my revolver. Only problematic part was having to lower rear sight in order to mount scope but won't be using the open sights anyways.
