Fantastic scope for a reasonable price.

This is the second VX-3 I have purchased and they're great values. I bought this scope for a new Tikka T3x in 6.5 Creedmoor. The first scope is mounted on a Browning A-bolt II 30-06. The Tikka will be use primarily for mid-range deer hunting situations (100-150 yds). The 10x magnification is more than ample for this range and the brightness and clarity of the optics are outstanding given the 1" tube and 40mm objective. The scope provides a very well balanced and attractive package. You just don't need any more scope for most hunting situations.

BEST SCOPES AT ANY PRICE!

I have two 14 year old Leupold VX3.5 x 10 40mm with Boone and Crockett reticles mounted on a Remington 700 SPSs in 30.06 and 7MM Magnum calibers that are on target every year and crystal clear today after hunting all over hot and dry Central California and hot and humid Southeast Texas. They have been carried all over creation in that time. You can spend more money but you can't buy a better more durable and dependable scope.

Full Circle!!

I bought this rifle scope to use primarily for Whitetail Deer hunting in the Northeast of the U.S. The VX-3i has great eye relief, crystal clear optics and a very long track record for reliable service and durability. I have always practiced the idea of spending as much as you can for a rifle scope, as there is a difference in quality of glass and reliability, and my experiences have proven true thru the years in the field. I cut my teeth so to speak with Leupold and then went on to the German and Austrian glass beginning with the letters "Z" and "S" respectively. As I have reached middle age, I find myself coming full circle, back to Leupold for what are some very important reasons to me! First and foremost; Made in America, by Americans with primarily American components. In this day and age of "World economies" I want jobs for the Homefront labor force. I want a product that is proudly American and supports our economy and that is what the Leupold company offers. Second; world class quality, reliability and craftsmanship. And last but not the least; Customer service that backs up what they make should something go wrong. Customer service that knows what the heck they are talking about, what they make and sell and listens without being rude or dismissive. This is what Leupold is and has been built on. Yes, the "Z" and "S" brand scopes and sport optics are top tier, but so is Leupold. Thanks for great products and staying true to your values as a company and letting me offer my opinion.
