If you're seeking a reliable solution for seamless signal management, the Leader LT 4448 3G-SDI Auto Changeover Unit is an ideal choice for use with the LT4610 Generator. This advanced changeover unit is designed to automatically switch from a primary signal to a backup signal whenever it detects issues in the primary input, ensuring uninterrupted signal flow. The LT 4448 is compatible with two LT 4600As and can be integrated with the LT 4610, LT 4611, and LT 4600A systems, making it a versatile addition to your setup.
Equipped with 11 pairs of BNC and LTC channels, the LT 4448 supports a wide range of input signals, including SDI, NTSC/PAL black burst, HD tri-level sync, AES/EBU digital audio, word-clock, and LTC signals. Each channel consists of a primary input, a backup input, and an output, providing comprehensive coverage for your signal management needs. Channels 1 and 2 utilize relays for switching, while channels 3 to 11 employ electronic switches complemented by high-speed error detection circuits, ensuring rapid response to any signal disruptions.
The LT 4448 offers dedicated input configurations: Channels 1 and 2 are tailored for SDI (3G/HD/SD), NTSC/PAL black burst, and tri-level sync signals. Channels 3 to 8 focus on NTSC/PAL black burst and tri-level sync signals, while channels 9 and 10 are dedicated to AES/EBU digital audio signals. Channel 11 is specifically designed for word-clock signals (TTL). Additionally, the unit provides three LTC channels, each with two inputs (primary and backup) and one output, featuring dedicated LTC inputs/outputs (2Vpp, differential input).
Fault detection is a key feature of the LT 4448, with a panel fault LED illuminating to indicate errors, alongside a channel-specific LED for quick identification. High-speed fault detection circuits in channels 3 to 11 facilitate swift switching to backup signals, minimizing any visible disturbances on connected monitors. The unit also offers configurable power supply start times, with options for approximately 1-minute or 4-minute delays, depending on the rise time of the connected system signal source.
For enhanced monitoring and control, the LT 4448 is SNMP-ready, allowing error monitoring over an Ethernet network. It issues traps for error detection, panel control, and remote control, with status information accessible via IP address configuration software compatible with Windows 8 and Windows 10. The unit's redundant power supply adds an extra layer of reliability, generating alarms in the event of errors. Furthermore, the LT 4448 can be conveniently managed through a web browser, providing a user-friendly interface for remote operation.
In summary, the Leader LT 4448 3G-SDI Auto Changeover Unit is a robust and versatile solution for maintaining signal integrity in professional audio and video environments. Its comprehensive features and compatibility with multiple systems make it an essential tool for ensuring seamless signal transitions and minimizing downtime.
