This full rack 1U synchronous signal generator is engineered to deliver unparalleled performance, offering compatibility with Black Burst, Tri-level sync, and PTP signals. It outputs a diverse range of signals including PTP, GNSS, 4K/HD IP, 4K 12G, 3G/HD/SD SDI, analog synchronous signals, AES/EBU, audio word clock, and LTC, all synchronized to analog video sync signals.
The LT4670 operates as a grand master in PTP configurations, featuring two independent PTP leader and follower functions. It comes equipped with six independent analog sync signal outputs, digital audio output, word clock output, LTC input/output, and L-SYNC as standard. Additionally, it offers optional outputs for GNSS sync, PTP, 4K IP, HD IP, 4K 12G-SDI, 4K Quad, 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, and SD-SDI in any desired pattern, ensuring optimal synchronization system management across various systems.
The Genlock function supports NTSC/PAL black burst signals and HDTV tri-level sync signals, allowing for precise synchronization of each output signal. It also accommodates NTSC/PAL black burst signals with field reference pulse and NTSC black burst signals with 10-field ID, alongside a standard 10 MHz CW lock.
To maintain stability, the LT4670 includes a stay-in-sync function for genlock input abnormalities and a slow-lock function to minimize shock during re-synchronization. It supports BB, tri-level, 10 MHz CW, GNSS (SER01), and PTP (SER03) for comprehensive synchronization.
Time Code I/O capabilities are robust, with outputs based on internal time information, NTP server, LTC, VITC, GNSS, and PTP time information. It supports output to three LTC systems, multiplexing analog sync signals to VITC, and SDI output to ATC, ensuring versatile time code management.
The LT4670 also features a 48 kHz word clock signal output synchronized with video signals, and AES/EBU signal outputs, including one with tone and one muted. Six independent analog video sync signal outputs are available, with adjustable phase for each output, enhancing flexibility in synchronization.
For synchronized control between devices, L-SYNC enables time synchronization in redundant systems by connecting main and backup devices using the same analog video sync signal. Synchronized time outputs include PTP, LTC, black signal (VITC), SDI signal ATC, AES/EBU signal, and NTP.
User convenience is prioritized with user preset and memory functions, allowing storage of up to 10 presets and maintaining the last setting upon power-off. The LT4670 supports a redundant power supply option (LT4670SER11) for uninterrupted operation, with hot-swappable power supply units and fans to ensure continuous performance.
