Become a part of the professional audio world with the DigiFlex 1658, a high-quality 24-bit AES/EBU to Analog Audio Converter. This advanced device accepts one AES/EBU digital input and delivers two sets of balanced low impedance analog outputs, making it an ideal choice for professional audio applications.
The DigiFlex 1658 is designed to fit seamlessly into your audio setup, with the ability to mount up to eleven 1658s in a 2RU space using LINK's DigiFlex frame. It features a transformer-coupled digital input as standard to eliminate the risk of ground loops, ensuring reliable and consistent performance.
This professional audio converter is equipped with a user-selectable digital input, made possible by coupling with the 1028 rear cell. A simple slide switch allows you to configure the 1658 for AES3-1992 or AES3-ID input, offering flexibility and convenience.
The DigiFlex 1658 uses state-of-the-art integrated circuits in its digital signal path. The digital data is re-sliced and reclocked for jitter attenuation, with the sample rate automatically detected and indicated by front panel LEDs. Data errors are detected and reported by red LEDs on both the front and rear panels, ensuring you're always aware of your device's status.
The analog conversion is accomplished using a one-bit Delta-Sigma converter with 24-bit resolution, ensuring high-quality audio output. In the event of an input error, the analog outputs are automatically muted for your convenience.
The DigiFlex 1658 also features a front panel switch that allows you to select de-emphasis on/off, and the analog output can be adjusted in 2dB steps from +10 to +28 dBu. The output cells employ a unique cross-coupled design for precise amplitude and phase matching, ensuring the best possible audio quality.
Designed with durability and reliability in mind, the DigiFlex 1658 is a testament to Link Electronics' commitment to producing top-tier audio equipment. This device is not just an audio converter, but a tool that will enhance your professional audio experience.
