This laptop/tablet has an impressive display, a great battery life and is very fast. It takes a bit of time to get used to the fold out keyboard and the wireless isn't as strong as my X1 Carbon or T series Laptop but they aren't as ultra portable either.

Compact, great design and an excellent office computer that easily doubles as a tablet. The Intel m5 is rather impressive and snappy as a daily driver for emails, streaming, getting around Microsoft office and some light gaming. The physical build feels sturdy and dependable.

The ThinkPad series from Lenovo has been the only real option and the most sought after laptop for professionals across the globe. Built like a tank, it's primary objectives seem to be productivity and security. It works like a charm out of the box, as if it's just meant to be there. Even the MS office suite that's an essential for professionals works its best in the ThinkPad series, compared to any other brand. The X1 Carbon is the real jewel in this series, which manages to cram in all the necessary hardware into this amazingly thin and light weight form factor. It doesn't even compromise on peripherals, with enough usb and even an HDMI port for your presentations. Compare this to other brands in the similar ultrabook category that require a dongle to be carried around for similar functionalities. In essence, it's bang for your bucks and a necessity of you are a professional.

The keyboard does not attach properly when u put it together so it gets very frustrating. It works well as a tablet, but i purchased it to use the keyboard function.

I bough this computer for grad school. We have a "flat device" policy and I wanted something sleeker and lighter than my main laptop. This fits the bill, pretty much exactly what I was looking for, but I'm still not really used to using such a small form computer. Pros: light, quick to start up, good performance, ThinkPad mouse-nipple, touchscreen and detaches as a tablet Cons: keyboard is noisy and compact, must be resting on something to hold the screen up ie. not as simple as just flexing the screen up or down like with a normal laptop, I never know what to do with the keyboard if I detach it and use it as a tablet.

I was looking for a lightweight yet powerful Windows tablet to replace having to carry around my heavy workstation laptop for on the road work such as Autocad Electrical and PLC coding. I spent a lot of time looking at the Surface line-up but couldn't get around the high price for a mid-grade performance and pricey add-ons. I found this while searching online and bought it immediately. Best value hands down!

I bought the X1 Tablet 8 months ago and have thoroughly enjoyed using it daily to work with MS Office, Bible Study software and to stream Pureflix through HDMI to my HD TV. It is light and easy to carry to doctor's office, etc. It gives 5+ hours of continual use and works with Verizon! So it can be my office away form the office.

When shopping for laptops or computers I usually go with either Lenovo or Hp. I have always used there products, and have always been pleased with them. Until I purchased this ThinkPad X1 Tablet I never regretted being loyal to the Lenovo brand. This Tablet is very disappointing. It is underperforming. The features are limited, I have the Pen but it doesn't work well. It is constantly spazzing, makes it's own selections, and sometimes just doesn't connect. The battery doesn't even last more than 2 hours after browsing basic sites like Amazon, or creating documents. I hate it! Plus it's heavy and I mean heavy.

I bought this Thinkpad X1 Tablet from Amazon and so far I am satisfied and hope it live to the expectation. I noticed that twice it detangled and perhaps the magnetic connection will be better if there is a clasp or locked mechanism

After nine days, the laptop was stuck in sleep mode, there was nothing I could do to fix it. I actually returned it. And will never buy a Lenovo again.

Bought the laptop from Amazon last week and it was a great buy. The item works very well and love its ultra slim body. The only minus is that it's kind of pricey and the key pad is not as glossy as Thinkpad. However, it is a Fantastic product.

Amazon one 1 that had a cracked screen. Bought another & sent 1st one back. The second came fine. This "ThinkPad" super fast and soooo easy to use. I'm 57 and a victim of a T.B.I. so I've got a few problems. I absolutely love the detachable keyboard. I purchased "Office" and now I can do the same as my old PC from my lap which is so convenient because my mobility is a little limited. Your "Tech Support" is the best !! Due to my disability I had to call for help setting tablet up, and your Representative was very patient with me & guided me through what I thought would have been difficult very easy... Love this machine and LENOVO. P.S. I also bought your "Tab 4" 8 inch tablet...We love it also..Thank you all much !!

I travel for work and carried around my idea pad to jot down notes, as well as the mundane reading and responding to emails, messages, etc. The I saw the ThinkPad X1. It had the versatility of my idea but added the dimension of writing and drawing on the tablet. The addition of a solid state hard drive was bonus for the constant moving and juggling of the PC that occurred in my particular use. I am still getting to know my little travel's tool. I am expanding the programming I have on it, recently adding Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements to its capabilities. When I need the keyboard its there, and not when I need solely the tablet. Its power consumption is a joy as well, having gone the whole business day without depleting its charge. I llok forward to several productive years with the X1.

The computer works as expected, portability, etc, all great. But the finger print reader is not worth it. It only recognizes the finger print about 20% of the time!

Exceeds expectations

My Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is everything I expected it to be. It was very easy to set up, from initialization to loading applications and connecting to e-mail and our wireless printer.
Best laptop I've ever owned!
By PHLAK
I got a fully loaded X1 Carbon and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The specs are great, the build quality is superb and the size and weight are exactly what I wanted. The screen is crisp and I love typing on the keyboard. I even managed to get it on sale for a few hundred dollars less than usual making it a pretty good value. The only negative remark I'll give this laptop is that in the right lighting, the trackpad shows significant wear less than a year after purchase. It stil...

ThinkPad X1 Carbon
World's Lightest 14" Business Ultrabook
Ultrathin. Ultralight. Ultratough. For the average Ultrabook these attributes may sound like a contradiction. But the new X1 Carbon is far above average. It features a carbon-fiber reinforced chassis and passes durability tests in extreme environments. Plus, it delivers more than all-day battery life, includes faster, more powerful storage performance, and has innovative docking options available, including wireless.
Uncompromisingly Thin & Light...
Weighing only 2.6 lbs (1.18 kg), the new X1 Carbon is the lightest 14-inch business Ultrabook on the planet. And at just 0.65 inch (16.5 mm) thin, it's extremely portable.
MIL-SPEC Tough
Constructed with satellite-grade carbon fiber, the new X1 Carbon is the toughest ThinkPad ever made. In fact, Lenovo performs nearly a dozen separate military-grade specification tests-all under extreme conditions with dust, vibration, heat, cold, altitude, humidity, solar radiation, and fungus. You can rely on ThinkPad despite what life throws your way.
And of course, the full-sized, backlit keyboard is spill-resistant, as you'd expect from a ThinkPad X1 Carbon.
The military specification tests are not intended to be a guarantee of performance under these environmental conditions.
Powerful Performance
The new X1 Carbon features a Windows Pro operating system and 6th generation with vPro-that means lots of manageability features and enhanced security. And of course the X1 Carbon is Skype for Business-certified, includes integrated speakers with Dolby audio, and an HD webcam, so conference calls and video chats are a snap.
Extra Security
Because your data is critical, we've enhanced security to keep you safer than ever. The X1 Carbon includes the Touch Sensor Fingerprint Reader, which is more reliable and accurate than typical swipe readers. Plus, this Ultrabook also includes Trusted Platform Module (TPM), which is a specialized chip designed to secure hardware.
But Stay Unplugged
With the X1 Carbon, you can stay connected, yet go unplugged more than all day, as the battery lasts up to 10 hours.
(10 hours - Based on testing three different product configurations with MobileMark 2014. Battery life varies significantly with settings, usage, and other factors.)
