It's no doubt a powerful laptop, the P series is very well advertised for what it's meant to do, but it is still pretty lightweight and easy to carry around. Only cons are the battery life, it isn't that great, if I'm using it throughout the day in a few hour intervals, I need to charge it often. I've also started to get a weird electric coil-like noise about a week ago after owning it for a few months. This noise comes up when I plug it in to charge or do any simple task, like even opening Netflix. It is loud and annoying, and hopefully I can solve it. Other than that, it is still a good product.

I've been using my Lenovo ThinkPad for a few months now, and it's been a fantastic experience overall. The build quality is solid, and the keyboard is one of the best I've ever used on a laptop-comfortable and responsive, perfect for long typing sessions. Performance-wise, it handles everything I throw at it, from heavy multitasking to running demanding applications, without any hiccups. Battery life is decent, usually getting me through most of the day, and I appreciate the variety of ports since I hate relying on dongles. My only gripe is the display could be a bit brighter, especially when I'm working in brighter settings, but that's a minor issue for me. Overall, it's a reliable, well-built machine that feels worth the investment.

PROS: - Straight power in a laptop form: This workstation does pack a punch with both it's CPU and GPU. - Display is bright, clear, and smooth. I opted for the 160 hz non-touch screen, and it's a definite upgrade. - Keyboard is great: Although it's not like other older Thinkpads, the layout and design of this keyboard is still one the best on the market. CONS: - Get very hot FAST: After little to some use, the laptop will be hot on the inside and outside. CPU temperatures can reach 95-100 degrees C on my machine whenever rendering (45-50 degrees idle). - Battery life is low: I've noticed that I've had to frequently charge this laptop. - Fingerprint Magnet: After some use and traveling, the laptop exterior will get covered in grubby fingerprints.

After spending hours on line to pick the computer I ordered it . Had the entire order canceled hours later with no explanation. When making the purchase I included 3 years of Norton . That is billed separately. They finally credited my card for the computer, but not the Norton . Had to dispute the purchase with my card company .

A month late in delivery, over a month to initiate the return, poor communication during the process. Do not buy from Lenovo until they resolve their logistics incompetency.

The P1 meets my requirements and exceeds them. I have an X1 Extreme and the P1 is in the same class. The keyboard, the screen and the ability to expand memory and disk make the P1 the right choice for me.

DOA - Dead on Arrival. Screen was flickering as soon as it was turned on for the very first time. It was so unusable that I couldn't even make it through the initial set up. Tried all troubleshooting steps as well as called the technical support team. Nothing helped. Pretty disappointed that such an expensive and high end laptop arrived defective.

I have a work P52 and a personal P53 that I use every day. I got this as a replacement for the personal PC. I chose the 4k model with touch screen. The touch screen destroys the 4k display. Lenovo clearly uses a touch film on top of the screen. The lines from this create interactions with the display below creating visual pulsing that is very distracting. There is no excuse for this on an almost $4k laptop. I also had a bunch of screen stuttering with video playback and CAD. I suspect this could have been solved with drivers and software updates, but I could not get over the screen so I returned the laptop.

I like my new Thinkpad. I wish the SD card would not stick out so far when it is seated. I have to remove the SD card when I travel which is not convenient. Everything else is good.

So far, so good, except that Windows 11 is a hot mess of things I don't need. My laptop was easy to set up and, thus far, is doing what I need it to do. I am disssapointed by Windows and the many pre-installed programs. I also ended up going through a full uninstall and reinstall due to changes I made to the users which caused them to discontinue working. The Lenovo, itself is the perfect size, has nice speakers and a lovely screen. I'm happy with the functionality. It automatically began working with my bluetooth and USB tools, once I had fixed all the Windows programs and uploaded my own stuff. I also appreciate that is is very quiet.

The screen blacks out, usually with the small whirling circle of blue, sometimes not - then comes right back, instead of it being a fluke, it is happening more and more. Norton keeps sounding the alarm that I have 20 plus bad drivers over 200 registry errors and etc... On a brand new laptop? Really? Further, the battery with just basic use has a pitiful life. Most irritating is the fact that setting it up it tapped every computer in my home somehow and it is clear in the raft of 'favorites' across the top of the browser screen - THAT ARE NOT MY FAVORITES! What else did Lenovo/Microsoft do wirelessly in my home? What? My P330 Thinkstation is now on the blink after a simple 'system restore', which is very odd. The only thing in the house unaffected is my old T530 - so far. This ThinkPad P1Gen6 is being sent back by Monday morning. I've bought Lenovo for over 20 years. Now, my faith in Lenovo is a bit disillusioned.

Performs as expected for a 3 grand laptop, battery isn't bad for having a 4080 mobile in it but I still think could be better. Be careful how you place it on your legs as the heat over long periods will leave minor burns, but that goes for any laptop with some heat generation in it (realistically, most laptops).

An incredible computer! Fast, effective, easy to use, GREAT keyboard for professional work. Incredibly powerful for the weight though I haven't used all that power just yet. Speakers about as good as one could expect on a laptop. Only complaint so far is having this beautiful 4k display with only 60Hz refresh rate but I can live with it.

I purchased the ThinkPad after my old laptop reached the end of its extended warranty. This is so much stronger and faster than my old laptop. It was good, but this is fantastic. I use my laptop for school, work, and gaming, so it had to hit a lot of checkmarks, but this does it beautifully. I can see this one making another five years easily.

Lenovo P1 Gen6 with RTX5000ada GPU - NO COMPLAINTS
By Kevs P.
When looking for a laptop with portability, processing power, lightweight, and without all the flash of gaming laptops, the P1 Gen 6 stood out. Now that I have used it for over a month, I can't be any happier. I love that it doesn't have all the extra features found with gaming laptops. Yet the features that make this perfect for my CAD designing and processing 3D laser scans is far better that I expected. The keyboard to start is a pleasure to type on. The "Left" and "Right" mount buttons...
