While I have owned several ThinkPads and generally think they are good, this one has given me more hours of issues than any other. Service has been fine, but I have better things to do than mess with a brand new machine.

Reliable. Sturdy. Light. The ThinkPad X1 is worth it's price given that it is a solid investment for business or personal use. It's portable and light while still being a reliable laptop. I love it!

I've been using the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 (Intel, 14") for a few weeks now, and I'm seriously impressed. It's incredibly lightweight but still feels solid and durable-perfect for frequent travel. The keyboard is exactly what you'd expect from a ThinkPad: responsive and comfortable for long work sessions. Performance-wise, it's fast, quiet, and handles multitasking with ease. Battery life easily gets me through a full workday. The matte screen reduces glare, and the overall build quality is top-notch. Definitely a premium laptop that lives up to the ThinkPad reputation!

I love Lenovo Laptops. However this last laptop's Windows 11 has been troublesome. My PIN failed right away and so far cannot be fixed. Bit Locker is a roadblock to repairs. McAfee was nearly impossible to remove (should not be installed without the buyers permission). I could not remove it with Windows native uninstall utility. While my laptop is usable these glitches are maddening. This figures into my lower rating of my purchase.

Great little laptop

I have owned several Lenovo PCs. Recently, I owned an X1 for work purposes and was very happy with the unit. I have found my new X1 equally impressive and would recommend Lenovo.

excellent performance, low noise, comfortable keyboard, good quality of display, etc.

Very recommended

The laptop is light and feeling sturdy on hand thanks to carbon cover, the screen quality is outstanding but there is a dead pixel in the right corner after a few months of use. The device works smoothly except for a strange sound that after 3-4 times of warranty service still cannot be fixed. One more thing, the packaging needs to be reviewed as it is very poor and risk.
Anyway, Lenovo has replaced it with a brand new unit, more upgraded one. Thanks for Lenovo service. Perfect!

Enjoyed this laptop as soon as I got it. The touchscreen was super important to me, it runs quietly and quickly. I was able to get most of the applications I wanted on there with quick download speed. The graphics are great and it's a good size!

Great all around

It took more than one month for me to receive the laptop. The laptop is very light weight. But the screen started frozen after reboot after several days of usage.

Perfect combination of features, super functional for my engineering needs (light solidworks, visual studio, labview, lots of multitasking). It's run really well for the last month, battery lasts most of the day if I'm using it hard. Will see how long it lasts, but liking it now.

I have also obtained the docking station for this laptop, but have not fully setup the PC yet. So far all is working great and I'm sure it will give me years of use.

Functionality and performance of this laptop.

I give the device a 7 out of 10 rating overall. The battery performance is suboptimal, and the device occasionally experiences slowdowns when processing Excel spreadsheets, which was unexpected.

My Lenovo X1

I decided to purchase the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon to use for my work as a researcher at the University of Minnesota and for consulting that I do. I had read many reviews indicating that it was one of the best business laptops. It is a little larger than my past laptops. I choose ultraportables as I travel quite a bit for my work. I purchased a model with 32GB of memory because I wanted memory to be able to multitask. In the past I have used ultraportables from other manufacturers.

I have used the laptop for several months and it has been a frustrating experience to get it set up and actually functioning. I had an issue with the integrated camera not being recognized. After several hours on the phone and working with technicians (I purchased a premium plan), Lenovo replaced the camera but it still was not recognized. They sent me a message saying that I needed to reinstall the operating system and to call them and they would help me do that. I talked to a technician that didn't seem to know how to do that so I went to Google search, found out how to reinstall the operating system, spent a couple of days on that, and that did solve the problem. The first technicians were good but the last one was not.

I am now able to use my laptop and it seems to be working well and hopefully will perform well into the future. Nonetheless I have spent a couple of months getting it set up with some good and some bad assistance from Lenovo. I have been using laptops since the luggables in the early 1990's and this has been one of the more disappointing experiences I have had.

Disappointing experience

Pretty decent laptop. When setting it up, installing apps, etc.. , it hung on me once or twice but since then, stable. My Biggest gripe is that when I'm home, I use full-size KB, mouse and 2 monitors and the Laptop is just 'there' Unless I need the finger print reader which is WAY in at the hinge, On the power button ?!?!?! To say it's awkward is an understatement. Prior laptop had it on the touch-pad which was easy to get at without opening the clamshell 75%
