I went from a all-in-one to a Workstation because I needed more functionality and space. This is a good machine however could use more space. Additionally, I would have liked to have had more installation help from Lenovo since I had never before gone to a server type process. All in all a good product

Compact and powerful, my Lenovo P620 with a 5000 series Threadripper Pro has been amazing to work with. I especially like the minimal bloatware that came preinstalled.

This was my first high powered desktop. I researched and thought this would be the best deal for developing the architecture renderings that are a big part of the service I offer my clients. However, the workstation was so loud and I couldn't believe people accepted this as normal. After a few days I booted into BIOS and it said a fan wasn't working. I took off the back cover and was shocked to see the CPU 1 fan wasn't even plugged in and the two fans for the RAM slots were lying on the bottom of the housing. After many YouTube videos (Lenovo 'help' was worse that an at&t call), I put it all together properly and now it sounds normal but I don't know if anything was damaged or burned out before I did this. I called Lenovo "support" again to ask if they could run diagnostics remotely and they just kept saying, "sorry for the inconvenience, but it's past 30 days (31 to be exact)" Just a terrible corporate response to someone who invested his earnings into your company to help grow his business. To finish this review: My very first computer was a 2003 Lenovo ThinkPad; a sleek military grade build outside and, a reliable workhorse engine inside - even my arch profs complimented me on it. I've only bought Lenovo's since. This desktop will be my last.

Bought 2 of these as replacement machines for some engineers using AutoCAD and associated products. They were easy to set up and they are running high end graphics programs without any hiccups. I will probably buy some more for the other engineers.

Lenovo outlet allowed me to replace my decade old dual Xeon workstation at a great price. The AMD 5955WX provides plenty of cores for my current needs while the platform will allow for growth up to 64C/128T; hard to imagine needing that now but it means I can upgrade instead of replace when the time comes. The RTX A2000 is a definite performance boost over my old GTX 750 Ti. The P620's power supply will ensure I can also upgrade the GPU when the time comes.

Lenovo permanently vendor locks the CPU in this machine so that it will only ever work on other lenovo pc's. If you plan on using the CPU for another pc or sell it at a later date it will not work

A little back story. My love of Lenovo started where I worked around 2000 when the company I worked for started using Lenovo for all our work computers. Every four years I would get a "refresh", a new computer. I went through at least three lower-end Lenovo corporate work computers over 12 years. Never had a single problem with any of them. Then, at home, my first Lenovo desktop (2017) was a Y900 desktop. Never had a single problem with it over seven years. Then purchased a Lenovo laptop in 2017, also no problems. Then it was time to upgrade to a new desktop computer. The P620 was a perfect upgrade for me. My P620 was on "clearance" for $2,009 with 32GB ram and 1TB SSD drive. Part of the lower price was the low-end Threadripper processor (5945WX) twelve cores. The price of those Threadrippers seems to increase exponentially with more cores. So far, my luck is holding up, no issues during the first three weeks. I've added 32GB of memory, and three PCIe cards. An ASUS Blu-ray drive sits on top. Everything is being powered by an APC power supply. Attached extra storage drives are a Crucial X8 (4TB) SSD, and an older WD My Book spinning 4TB drive. I'm surprised at how quiet the fans are. I can't hear them at all, unless I'm doing something processor intensive. Even then, the fans have a loud rushing sound that sounds like they are using quality fans. Finally, I'm aware this model is a couple of years old. Doesn't bother me at all, I would rather have a proven model with all the bugs worked out.

I purchased the P620 with the 5955WX processor, 32Gb of RAM and the T1000 8Gb GPU - I am very pleased with the purchase and I would highly recommend this Workstation to anyone. The build quality seems very good and I like the ability to easily upgrade components. So far I have used the PC to edit video and plan to use it to run AutoCAD and SolidWorks. I did use Lenovo support to help me purchase the Workstation and they were very helpful.

It was a relatively straightforward process to configure and purchase the computer. It is well put together. I like the quality of the product. It is a great computer. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Windows 11 Pro; they cannot simply get it to work without crashing so very often. Mac OS is plagued with the same problems; so glitchy. I might consider switching to Linux or FreeBSD. Superior hardware, lousy OS. Thats how I think of my workstation.

Nice rigg , Ordered it with the wireless adaptor only got half of it and no Bluetooth. Other than that pretty powerful for Mastercam . But I will have to add another CPU to help it already have run it to 90% when calculating large files.

Bring unparalleled power and performance to your workspace with the ThinkStation P620 Workstation, powered by the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5955WX 4.0GHz processor. This high-performance workstation boasts up to 16 cores and 32 threads, all from a single CPU, outperforming other workstations that would require at least two CPUs to match its capabilities.
The ThinkStation P620 is not just powerful, but also highly configurable. It comes with a massive 64GB RAM and a 2TB SSD, providing ample storage and memory capacity for your most demanding tasks. It also features numerous expansion slots, allowing for easy upgrades and customization.

The ThinkStation P620 is designed with an air-cooled thermal system, ensuring optimal performance in any location. This cooling system allows the CPU and GPU to maintain peak performance, even under heavy workloads. Plus, the tool-less accessibility to the chassis makes upgrades a breeze.
Certified by independent software vendors (ISVs), the ThinkStation P620 is versatile and reliable, capable of handling complex workloads across a wide range of industries, including architecture, engineering, media and entertainment, healthcare, finance, and AI/VR.
Security is also a priority with the ThinkStation P620. It features ThinkShield, a built-in suite of security solutions that keep your data safe. The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) firmware uses encryption to significantly decrease the risk of hacking, and the option to disable serial, parallel, USB, audio, and network ports adds an extra layer of security. You can also set up a BIOS password and a power-on password to restrict access. For additional physical security, consider the optional Side-Cover Key Lock Kit to prevent unauthorized access to the system.
In summary, the ThinkStation P620 Workstation is a powerful, fast, reliable, and advanced solution for professionals who require a high-performance computing system.
