Compact. Powerful. This is a far superior way to manage my practice without using a notebook/docking station setup. Functions easily with multiple monitors and can handle numerous applications running without bogging down. Awesome.

The Workstation has been up and running for the past two weeks. I was a little surprised when it arrived that it did not have a HDMI port. I guess I should have read the specs a little closer. I was able to find a Display Port cable in my box of miscellaneous parts and was up and running. Later I found a DP to HDMI cable, so I was able to connect a second display. No problems. I am using the system primarily as programming station. I'm trying to brush up on my programming skills. Visual Studio 2022 is running great and I'm having a great time. It was simple to uninstall some of the extra programs that came with Windows 11. The machine came with Windows 11 Pro installed and it did a Windows update with no issues. Lenovo Vantage wants me to update the BIOS Update Utility but has failed repeatedly. Many years ago, my dream machine would have had a 1 MB of ram, a screen resolution of 1K x 1K and a 100MB hard drive. This machine has 64 GB of ram, multiple displays and soon a 4K monitor, with a 1 TB HD and a 5 TB external drive. My other machine is a Lenovo laptop from 2012 and it's still running great but cannot run Windows 11. I've had my best experience with at home computers running Lenovo systems.

I recently bought a Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Ultra Small Form Factor workstation through Perks at Work at a great price. It comes with an i7 CPU, a 4GB NVIDIA GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. The machine is much smaller than I expected and has excellent build quality-I really like it. Setting up Windows was straightforward, though there was a minor issue where the system could detect my home network but couldn't connect to it wirelessly. I had to use an Ethernet cable to connect to my router to complete the setup. I planned to use this workstation as my home server, so I wanted to install a second operating system. I followed the instructions on Lenovo's website to access the BIOS and configure it, but the system would only boot directly to Windows, never allowing me to initiate the second OS installation. I contacted technical support three times, but unfortunately, no one could resolve the issue. Some support agents suggested a possible hardware defect and recommended an exchange, while others told me it wasn't configured to support multiple OS setups and advised a return. I've owned several IBM/Lenovo machines before and had no issues installing Ubuntu, so this experience was disappointing. In the end, I had no choice but to return the workstation.

The size and power of this machine is awesome. It fits into a tight space on my workspace and builds Chromium super fast. My only complaint is that I could not get it shipped with Ubuntu installed already, but I managed to get it set up dual boot windows after sorting out the display connectors.

The ThinkStation is an amazingly powerful system in a small form factor. If you have a small workspace than this machine is a good choice. The computer fits on the desk underneath the monitors and requires such little space.

Great Little (footprint) PC. Fast, lots of ram and disk space. Footprint fits nicely on my desk. Could have used an HDMI port, but I got an adapter for the Display Port and it works fine. USB-C in the back of the machine would have been a good add. This is my 4th Lenovo computer and I will no doubt buy a 5th! Didn't hurt that we got 2 of them at 1/2 price, either!

Don't trust Lenovo's description or support. Description said Windows 10 PRO. Came with Windows 10 HOME which is useless when you have a domain. Customer service was useless as the staff did not check the computer within 14 days.

Great Computer for business. I do a little bit of everything from Photoshop to Spreadsheet. Quick response time on every click. The small stature is perfect for a busy work desk while still providing enough featured to run CAD, CNC, and graphic programs and mostly all at once.

Pros: Handles multiple VM's without missing a beat. Compact design and the weight is fantastic. Easily open the case because it's toolless. Easily upgradable to 128 GB of DDR5. Two additional slots for SATA and NVME. DUAL NIC is a nice touch, also being the fact that one is 2.5 GB. Cons: Toasty: The P-Cores at times can hit 100 degrees which of course causes the machine to thermal throttle. I'm only using this for VM's, which aren't very hard on the processor.
