Seems to work fine. I broke the ethernet plug on my laptop, now the problem is solved without an expensive hardware fix.

I bought this hoping it would work for multiple devices at home. This adapter worked perfectly for my Sony Bravia x800h, android tv box and HP Chromebook. I'm extremely happy with this, my only concern is that it gets quite warm during use so hopefully it lasts.

The X1 carbon laptop does not come with built in ethernet port so this is a needed accessory for x1 carbon laptop if you need direct access to internet or other devices.

I bought a Lenovo Windows 11 Home laptop in S mode that didn't have an Ethernet port or a VGA port, so I bought the ThinkPad USB3.0 to Ethernet Adapter to connect to my cable modem router, and an HDMI to VGA adapter from BestBuy Essentials. The Ethernet adapter worked perfectly right out of the box. BestBuy Essentials and their Geek Squad didn't know how to get my HPW2082a monitor to work with the computer, but I eventually got the HP monitor too working perfectly.

Arrived in good condition, no damage whatsoever. The adapter itself looks well built, and seems to be of good value. It connects easily. I don't have any problems with it and I recommend it if needed!

I had couples unbranded adapters. This one is much better, I'm sticking with this one from here on out. It is GBE adapter that supported PXE booting.

It does what it says. I wish it were simply built into the laptop (X1 Carbon). Maybe that should be considered the dividing line between a "laptop" and a "notebook" computer; a laptop should always have an Ethernet port, while a notebook would require an adapter like this.

This works as expected. Lenovo quality at a great price and FAST! As an IT professional I am quite often placed in a situation that a machine requires a new image rebuild or system issue of sorts. I run across situations where all hardware level Ethernet interfaces systems require drivers to load a PCI based Ethernet driver first when performing this task, rendering it inoperative. Like magic, I would plugin this USB Ethernet Adapter and connect to the internet. Downloads begin and I am fast forward to completing the task at hand. There are many ways in which one might require a second Ethernet adapter in a system. Traveling provides you with alternative means for hard-wire connectivity in your hotel room, instead of using your embedded hardware ethernet. You can also use this for Split subnets or monitoring abilities, enhancing the tech genius in you....I digress. You shouldn't be without this in your bag of tools, no matter what you do for a living. You should consider this, as your just in case tool. After all, it's so very reasonably priced.
