Overall very happy with this laptop. It’s replacing a 6 year old y570, and the new y700 is sleeker and feels more solid than the y570. Absolutely love the 4K screen, with the caveat that there are still many programs, especially older ones, but even newer ones, that don’t scale correctly.

I bought this computer about 2 weeks ago and it arrived on time and in great condition. It has a very fast boot time compared to my old laptop and the graphics are great! I’m not using it for gaming, but I needed a stable laptop for active trading and so far, it is more than capable. Awesome computer for the price.

Have recommended it to several optometrists, and stenographers, court reporters etc. For the price, they can enjoy the bells and whistles after working. I am giving it a 5 but wish they installed Windows 10 PRO instead of having me do it as well as increasing the data drive. Screen protectors can be easily applied which would meet HIPAA requirements. This is a well-built unit. Finger magnet eh who cares? Streaming video to my 60" TV great. Battery life is what it is while using a 17.3' Monitor. You can work with brightness levels of 0(but still visual, 25%, 50%, 75& and 100%. No matter, I would buy another in a heartbeat. Adorama was great to work with. Hi All, I bought this laptop during Christmas from Adorma. Cons : Fingerprint magnet. Pros : Everything else :) 1. Amazing Screen - Ultra HD - Display and Clarity is crip while playing videos, watching movies and playing games. 2. Super Speakers - Built in front facing JBL speaker - Need a say more. 3. Hard drive - 1TB HDD (Fair enough for me) + 256 SSD (Startup is fast - No lagging). 4. Memory & Processor - 16 GB & i7 - This aint going to be obsolete in near future. Multitasking at its best. 5. Graphics - Dedicated 4 GB Nvidia GTX 960M - Not the latest, a tad old but can run most of the games out there in market. 6. Red back light - My personal favorite. Love the way it looks. (can be turned off). Overall - Get it before it's out of stock at this price. Adorma is the best place to buy - Super fast delivery and great customer service. Made my Christmas special :) Thanks

It certainly appeared to be the best value out there but the computer locked up in the process of the initial windows update. Since I'll be gone when a replacement would arrive I opted to just ask for a refund. If its still on sale when I get back I'll reorder it and update my review. For now I can't recommend it.

No big issues other than the fact that I am not sure about Windows 10 right now. I really wish it had Windows 7 on it. Not that Lenovo has much control over this... MS is trying REALLY hard to get people away from using Chrome and Firefox (which are vastly superior to IE, or Edge, - or whatever they are calling it these days - is). They are actually making it fairly difficult to install Chrome on here, and THAT is almost the last straw for me as a Windows user. Mess with my choices/options for web browser, and you are REALLY hurting your image IMO. MS better be careful, because this is the kind of stuff that will kill them. I must say, none of that is this laptop's fault, and it is quite powerful for what I paid. I am sure bag for the buck, this is better than most deals out there if you really NEED a laptop to be able to run some games.

It is really good and also the customer service was really good. They had to ship it two times because it was shipped back to adorama. And they didn't charge me for the secind shipment. It was really great. I recommond it for someone. Very good customer service

The overall build quality is amazing. I would consider this unit a desktop replacement. The unit is very heavy.But that is to be expected considering whats in the box.The screen is beautiful,but it could be brighter. The key travel is to my liking,although the track pad is not as good as I would like.I would suggest a mouse. There is not a great deal of bloatware. It is a fingerprint magnet. I have grown to appreciate this unit each day. I would recommend it.
