For the Lenovo Ideapad 700, there are too many differences between this model, for example, screen sizes, SSD, Hybrid HD and CPUs. So the price are totally differences. My laptop has only a regular hard driver and i5. So it is slow to start. But price is only about ($)

I got this unit to be able to edit HD video, and meet my other less demanding computing needs. I'm not a PC gamer, but the specs on this unit are pretty great for the money. The track pad was an adjustment coming from an old mac, as it wasn't as sensitive, and is off center (macs have them centered, with one button.) Aside from ergonomic differences, the hardware seems capable, though I do experience hiccups that I presume are related to the operating system. I may have to get it checked out. The screen looks pretty good, but is a bit outdated looking compared to some of the ones I've seen. It isn't as bad as the old style LCD displays, but it's not vibrant and impressive, like some of the other machines out there. It obviously lacks touch capability which doesn't really bother me, and was a price worth paying for the more powerful quad core non mobile variant of the i7 processor. The speakers are impressive for a laptop. The battery... is kinda bad. If you actually require more than a couple of hours (3-6 depending on what you're doing) this machine's battery will probably make you angry.

Got this laptop on sale for ($), I7, 16gb DDR4, 256 SSD + 1TB HDD, GTX950 couldnt ask for more. Only negatives, shorter battery life (3.5 hr) and no disk drive.

Bought this laptop on sale. Pretty much has all the features I was looking for....top notch processsor, plenty of RAM, SSD drive and 1TB hard drive., backlit keyboard, HD display. Laptop was received quickly and was up in running in no time. The laptop performs real well. I will not use it for gaming but wanted the performance for occasional video processing and imaging.

Good performance. Great value. Wish it had a DVD drive. Also would have preferred a bigger SSD (512GB) instead of the SSD + HD combo. But I guess the specs are what they are. I'm still happy with the laptop.

This is a very good machine , specially with a HQ processor , this is great - The performance is pretty good , for mid level gaming , and enterprise software .The ssd is good as well , not as powerful as samsung evo pro 850 series , but it is pretty quick . the ram is 2133 mhz , 16gb which makes it work fine .

I need high performance Notebook for artworks. Not so fast as I expected. The resolution and screen performance is not stable. But overall, it's worth to buy this notebook and if possible, can we add one more 16 G ram to the max (32 G) as costumed and paid for the addition fee? Could we choose Win 8.1 to instead of Win 10?

I don't know what the other reviewers that gave this model 5 stars came from, but they must have sucked. This computer is slow, freezes all the time, has terrible wifi, constantly need to restart/reboot the system to get it unstuck, windows 10 is ridiculous and not in a good way. Honestly, my 2013 Mac Air is faster and more reliable than this hunk of plastic. One week with this system and I remember why I left Lenovo & the world of windows 3.5 years ago and switched to Mac. I'm just going to shelve this device except when I need to run something specifically for windows. Very disappointed.
