Very decent

I bought this about a week ago. The laptop feels like quality, and isn't loaded up with bloatware. Would be 5 stars, only there's an error on startup that keeps trying to make me download a Lenovo update for a different model of laptop.

Great Machine If It Worked

This is a really, really nice machine and that's why we bought it. The back lit keyboard with color's pulse, etc... very nice. Speed, Power are excellent but.... We have had the machine for one week. Each update, whether a Microsoft or Lenovo update causes the keyboard to stop functioning. So far we have completed on full factory reset which did not resolve the issue. We have learned that doing a hard reset with the power button will work and if that does not resolve the issue on the first time then the second or third time will work and we can type again. I suspect the keyboard issue has do to with the Lenovo nerve center 'prevent mistaken input' functionality but I can't prove it without spending $59 to have Lenovo run a software scan on my computer. Remember I just bought this one week ago and I cannot receive support on the image Lenovo put on the machine without spending more money... So far I have talked to both hardware and software support but have not received any solid diagnostic assistance as in remote into this brand new machine and run a check. I now have a case number but since this particular machine is showing signs of being a lemon I will have to return to Best Buy where it was purchased. We did try to return it once but Best Buy said they could not replace with the same machine and apparently, Lenovo cannot help us either. Maybe we should have bought another brand but the Lenovo computers at work have always been solid performers.

Setup and works fine.

Not touch screen. I didn’t think I had to check that these days. Loved my Yoga so I went with Lenova. Very heavy compared to newer, thinner laptops.

Works great

Runs really good and doesn't have any trouble with games, my only complaint would be the trouble the touch pad causes.

Love this machine!

I bought this laptop because I was fed up with another computer. The Lenovo Legion gaming laptop is exactly what I needed. It’s not bogged down by bloatware. It is lightning fast, quiet, and stays cool. The graphics are awesome. The keyboard is quick and responsive.

It would of been perfect but......

I only have two problems. The track pad can be a little crazy at times. The screen is not that bright, but overall amazing laptop for the price.

Awesome Laptop

It's not even been a week but I've fallen in love with this laptop. My last Lenovo lasted over 5 years so I hope this one will do the same. Everything about it is great. I can run games on high/ultra graphics and multitask.

Good speedwise. Poor look-wise

The speed on this laptop is impressive. I have a virtual machine running on it and the speed is decent even on there. The physical look of the laptop is not too great though. Aside from being big and bulky, the shape leaves something to be desired.

Everything you could ask for in a gaming laptop!

I bought this laptop to run some graphics intensive online games and have not been disappointed! Out of the box I turned it on and it just works... Flawlessly. That's why I am so loyal to Lenovo as a brand. Their computers just work... Well... Every time. That's not even to mention the slick styling and beautiful package this machine is held in. All the bells and whistles you would want.

Excellent Gamer and Creator PC

I purchased this Legion laptop a little over a month ago for my gaming and digital drawing needs. I use this along with my GAOMON digital drawing pad and loving this laptop. I use Adobe Photoshop CS6 to get my drawing done and my laptop handles what I do quite well. I am only a beginning artist but I do not foresee this laptop giving me problems even as my art becomes more advanced. For my gaming pleasure, I typically play in Final Fantasy 14, Star Wars the Old Republic, Guild Wars 2, Star Trek Online and Blade and Soul. I had an ASUS ROG and at five years old these games looked OK and couldn't complain. On my new Lenovo Legion, these games look glorious. The graphics and detail are crisp and push the limit of game vs reality. Final Fantasy 14 I think had the biggest transformation between my old laptop and this one. Absolutely no lag on any of these games and start up for the games and Windows 10 OS are non-existent and ready to go in seconds. My Legion did need about 1/2 a day worth of updates but this was expected as I was essentially setting up my games on a new PC along with driver updates that were needed. All in all whether your using this PC for gaming, creator work such as drawing or both, the Legion can handle it. Absolutely loving the Legion. And did I mention this laptop is gorgeous. I also love the customizable backlit keyboard features which was a nice touch. Lenova has gained another fan to their party with this system. Its been a month and mommy still has a large smile on her face.

Was alright.

I bought this a week and a half ago, but it was utter trash, so I just HAD to return it. The first day, everything was up to par. But by the 3rd day, I installed the intel extreme utility to check temps, cpu/gpu usage to see if everything was doing alright. To my surprise, it had THERMAL THROTTLING. This is without any overclock being done. I had to undervolt it by -110 for it to stop throttling. My y720 also came with screen bleeding in every corner imaginable, especially worse in the bottom right which deemed to be annoying when watching any video while displaying dark environments. This thing also weighs a TON. I mean, portable yes, but then again it’s a portable brick. Your spine will snap in half the moment you load it in your bag. The battery is also bad, 2 hours on battery and the screen is dim (220 knits) and is dimmer than the Helios 300, which was already far in the dim zone. But I have to admit, the keyboard is nice and all with rgb, IF IT WASNT ZONE LIT. All that potential wasted. But overall, other than the poor aesthetics, thermal throttling, screen dimming, screen bleeding, potential spinal damage, the GTX 1060 gb did run rainbow six siege at 80-100 FPS on max settings. In Canada, it is $1,800, which I got on sale for 1,400. I wouldn’t dream of purchasing this on retail. Go for a MacBook

Avoid buying

This laptop has had many problems. To start off, I got a blue screen crash every time I woke it from sleep so I had to restart to turn it on. This crashed said something about bad video memory. That, random crashes in games, and other wierd things shows me I got a bad graphics card. Also, the HDMI port does not work. I'm not sure how many of their products are defective, but I would take cuation. Lenovos support is aweful, instead of listening to me they wanted to remote access my computer and try to fix the software and charge me money, even though it's clearly a hardware problem. You will get nowhere with them, it's like talking to a brick wall. So now I'm stuck with a fualty gaming computer they sent me that crashes and can't play games. I want a replacement Lenovo.

Sweet!

Gaming Laptop. I bought this computer primarily for running demanding flight simulators. It doesn't disappoint. This is my first gaming laptop and while it will be used for word processing etc., it's power, startup time, screen, are all fantastic. I do get current release company computers to do my job but this is 3 or 4 levels beyond. I love the lighted and customizable keyboard as well! Even the sound quality is noticeably better than I would have expected. I would certainly suggest that anyone consider this for this type of requirement! Have fun!!

Fast Capable and Impressive Device

By Thomas96

I bought this laptop about 2ish months ago, and have since then really been putting it through it's places. I play a moderate amount of games, especially new ones, and have really been trying them out on this new machine. And I am happy oo say that the results have been great. Take most recently the Battlefront 2 beta. The computer can manage at 1080p, a mix of high/ultra settings, a stable 60FPS, no dips or fluctuations. Another thing to point out are the speakers. Amazing quality, they ha...

For the money, probably can't do better

By sega78

After a recent debacle with another company, I was skeptical of "power" laptops in this price range. I know there have been some driver issues with this specific machine, but it looks like they have been resolved. The laptop looks great, and has super cool superficial features. The sound quality (without external speakers) is pretty solid. I have the 1TB SSD version with 16 GB of RAM and the latest i7. For those specs, to be the price point seems to be a steal - and also a concern. But afte...
