Enhance your video production and broadcasting capabilities with the sophisticated 812-OP/L Analog Pulse Generator from Link Electronics. This high-quality test pattern generator is engineered to deliver precise composite sync, composite blanking, and color subcarrier signals, essential for system applications that demand 4Vpp drive pulses and 2Vpp subcarrier.
Crafted for professional use, the 812-OP/L ensures that each output pulse conforms to EIA standards with controlled rise times, capable of driving a 75 Ohm load at the specified voltage. The color subcarrier output benefits from low harmonic distortion due to its filtered design and is powered by a discrete amplifier for reliable performance.
This advanced module is designed to integrate seamlessly into the SPG-812 chassis, which accommodates various analog and digital modules - up to six per chassis. The 812-OP/L works in conjunction with other modules to provide a comprehensive solution for video synchronization and timing. When gen-locking to incoming video, the SPG-812 chassis can be equipped with either an analog 812-OP/C for genlock to analog black or a 812-OP/D digital genlock module in slot #2, distributing timing pulses as a reference down the motherboard bus.
The 812-OP/L utilizes these pulses to synchronize the phase-locked loop (PLL) on the module, resetting the vertical and horizontal counters within the complex programmable logic devices. This synchronization ensures all counters are timed perfectly with an external reference. Additionally, when operating in free-run mode, the 812-OP/A analog black burst module's frequency can be fine-tuned via a front panel control, with a Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator (VCXO) that boasts a stability of 2.5ppm over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
The rear panel of the SPG-812, detailed on the back page, illustrates the module configuration, including two 812-OP/H modules and an 812-OP/K module, with dedicated cells for tone, analog, AES, and gen-lock or master time base. The versatility of the chassis allows for a mix of analog or digital modules depending on your specific requirements. Remote control connectivity is also provided for the test pattern generator through a dedicated connector on the rear panel.
For enhanced reliability, the system includes a power supply voltage fault indicator, which monitors all three supply voltages and deactivates the green LED if any fall below nominal levels. The PCO-818 automatic pulse change-over modules offer both independent and synchronized operation, with the ability to interlink two PCO-818 chassis for seamless switching in the event of a failure in the master generator.
Choose the 812-OP/L Analog Pulse Generator for its advanced features, professional-grade reliability, and the reputation of Link Electronics in producing top-tier video production equipment. Whether you're calibrating monitors, cameras, or transmission systems, this generator is an indispensable tool for ensuring the highest quality in your video outputs.
