really strong (i dropped it twice), and fast wifi
i got this like 7 months ago and it's really good. it's good for videos and some light games and it browses really smoothly.

Grandma Updates
I am 66 and bought the 14e Chromebook, after 14 years of Microsoft/Windows product. I am thrilled with the speed and the simplicity of this product. I especially like fewer updates! And I have taken advantage of using no mouse.

14 Chromebook Lenovo
Very solid laptop. My first Chromebook although i have used Chrome for years. I was surprised there were zero instructions for the device other than to plug it in. Later, I realized you, the user, have to decide on apps and settings. Still don't have a setting that lets the mouse scroll but perhaps that's not a function of Chrome OS.

Many advantages of a Chromebook
I am a huge believer in Chromebooks! I gave my previous Chromebook to a friend who was in need of a laptop/Chromebook. But all you need to do is buy a new Chromebook and sign into Google and you have a NEW Chromebook just like the old one! One of the many advantages of Chromebooks over a laptop!

Needs frequent reboot
Processor seems a tad slow. That, or Google gets confused. A reboot seems to straightin things out. Love the screen size and lighted keyboard. Reboot dropped my rating to a 3. Otherwise it is a 4. Didn't have this problem with 2 prior Chromebooks.

It got returned.
Good for business, bad for entertainment.
If you're using this Chromebook for business purposes (i.e. typing documents, filling out spreadsheets, sending emails, etc., it's great. The machine is solidly built, has a long battery life, and has a wonderfully comfortable keyboard. I would have no problem making this my primary machine for work and/or travel.
However, if you're planning on using it for watching YouTube videos, Netflix, etc., buy a different Chrtomebook. The display isn't very bright and the speakers are on the bottom of the machine facing out. If you're watching a video while the Chromebook sits on a table it's not a problem since the sound reflects off a hard surface. However, if you're relaxing on your couch or your bed and this machine is resting on your lap the speaker placement makes it difficult to hear, and you have to turn the volume WAY up to get the same quality you would otherwise get at half volume for a machine with speakers pointed up.
Because I have a separate laptop that I use for business purposes, I bought this machine for browsing/streaming purposes only. Since it wasn't very good for those purposes I returned it.

Good Chromebook for families
This Chromebook is working well for our family so far. I do wish the screen resolution was a higher level, as this display seems dull. It is a good Chromebook for students and families!

Gets the job done
It took me a couple of days to get used to some of the quirks of this Chromebook, such as the scrolling action making menus disappear instead of moving down, but now that I'm getting the hang of it I am fairly pleased with its performance. I'm still trying to get used to the fact that the touch-pad does not have left and right click buttons, so if you do not have keyboard shortcuts memorized, this might slow you down as it has me. The aluminum casing gives me peace of mind. I'm not incredibly impressed with the color saturation and resolution with streaming shows, but it works well enough. I appreciate the double USB A and C ports and use them frequently.

Sweet Spot , price, quality, function
Very nice, lenovo I think is the best laptop quality around, I've tried all the brands over the years and lenovo beats them all. 14 inch is the sweet spot for me and with chromebooks having the ability to run android apps, it can do everything and more and much more safer than windows.

I didn't realize a Chromebook was not a laptop. I don't know if it's still possible to change to a laptop. I need to have access to Word and Excell. I would really appreciate someone following up. It's also a little larger than I wanted.
