This is a solid unit that works well, especially when paired with a gaming mouse and the surround sound, gaming headset. A gaming chair, gaming keyboard and gaming monitor would complete the package. Under intense use, the fans are engaged but not to distract you. Also, the keyboard gets a bit warm but not to the point of being uncomfortable. The colors are vivid and they pop out at you from the screen. This gets a rating of four because the touch pad is not seated properly with a slight play on the left.

The Good: Overall the Legion 5i is great! - It is able to encode videos at literally 100x faster than my old laptop (gaming laptop I got from a competitor in 2014). - It boots instantly which is great. - I love the number of USB 3 and USB-C ports. (Only come with one USB-C but if you get a hub you're golden). -The built-in audio is also really good for a laptop. - I really appreciate the built-in camera blocker and microphone mute button features. - The built-in battery has excellent life so far. - I like to buy things that last and upgradability is an essential feature of that. I really love that it has screws connecting it so I can take it apart and replace the battery or upgrade/change the hard drive and RAM configurations. Improvement suggestions: - Maybe I'm unlike a lot of other folks with this PC, but since it is a laptop I actually do carry it *everywhere*. An improvement would be to have a metal case to make it a bit more hardy. My older laptop from another manufacturer had a magnesium bottom and a thin metal cover on the back of the screen and it is practically bulletproof. The legion is all plastic and I fear it will be damaged by carrying it in my bookbag everywhere. - The function keys on the keyboard for things like volume, etc. would be easier to use if they were their own individual keys instead of being function-shifted on the F1, F2, etc. keys. - The power brick is a bit unwieldy and isn't the easiest to carry around. -It'd be handy if the back corners were beveled at a 45 degree angle and hosted USB ports on the bevel like some other manufacturers do. As it is now, when I leave my low-profile mouse dongle plugged in it either catches when I put it in and out of my bookbag or if it is on the sides, all the weight of the laptop rests on the USB dongle when it is in my bag. I suspect this will lead to loosening of the USB connector damage to the PCB that I'll have to repair eventually.

The model i found in physical store had a rainbow backlit keyboard. One i bought online has simple white backlight. Other than that no complaints. Good performance. Nice keyboard.

Bought this on sale for 30% off, and it?s been a great laptop so far. It handles gaming, streaming movies & TV, and editing effortlessly, and it hasn?t given me any problems so far! Only complaint is that the fans are rather loud, but given that the computer itself is almost never too warm to the touch, I certainly can?t complain about that. 5/5 stars!

I was looking for a low profile gaming laptop for college so it didn't look like an outright gaming laptop, so I could take it to class without all of the RGB lighting. This laptop packs a punch, with a 2060 and an i7 10th gen, as well as a beautiful 144hz screen. The trackpad and keyboard experience is a wonder to behold. Lenovo has really outdone themselves when it comes to the Legion lineup of laptops. I highly recommend these laptops to anyone that is looking for a laptop for school and wants to do some gaming on the side.

Totally worth the money. Cooling system is quite better in comparison with the competitors. 10th gen H processor, backlit and 17? full HD with 144 Hz refresh rate, in short you can't find such a powerful device in this range for sure.

The laptop is fine from what little I was able to use it. Problems arrive from Lenovo?s support or lack there of. For those of us who like a clean install, the support page is missing drivers. Also if you need to download the restore image it is hit or miss if it will work in the first place. Once it does it?s not the same image that was on the computer and it?s missing drivers as well.

Good specs. Battery is obnoxiously large kinda like a brick shape though. There?s not much to add, it?s decent enough to run games at 120 FPS.

This laptop is great, from the size to gaming experience. Great touchpad, even has numerical pad like your external keyboards from dell. Yet the battery life even if just surfing the web is about 4.5 hrs. I would consider this more of a stationary laptop. I just bought another monitor from Lenovo, which works amazing with this laptop. I did have an issue with it freezing, but i called support and they were able to help with some updates I had no clue about.

This computer is amazingly fast! I wanted a computer that could have lots of programs on it for 3D modeling work and it works very well. I have an iMac also, and it is SO SLOW. But this computer is SO FAST and can use lots of programs at once. I was on a zoom call, using Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, AND on the internet googling stuff. And the computer was working perfect! It did not slow down at all. The only cons are the computer itself is a bit beefy so I don't think I would transport it to places much. The battery also drains pretty fast on this computer. But the main reason I got this computer is because I wanted a computer that would work fast, be able to have lots of programs on it, and be able to play video games. It does all three amazingly well and I can't believe it took me this long to discover this Lenovo computer, its the best. I highly recommend this computer for how fast it works with the programs I have!

Main thing: Don't forget you charger if you are out and about with this machine, because the battery will go down pretty quickly. So far, I've been able to get about 2 to 3 hrs of battery just browsing the web. The fans can get pretty loud under load, but it isn't intrusive with headphones. Besides this, the screen looks pretty great and the texture and feel of the deck makes it really comfortable to type on. Also, it performs well enough with 120 fps in rocket league using maximum graphics. pretty good.

If I could give this laptop a 4.9 star rating, I would. The graphics card is especially one of the best things about this laptop while I?m not as impressed with how it holds a charge. That being the only stipulation I have, I would recommend this gaming laptop to everyone I know being in architecture. I have enough space to run CAD software and my favorite games. I am truly amazed at the speed, graphics, and storage of this mode.
