I actually made a purchase for this Laptop back in late February of this year! It was on sale at a good price. I am picky about electronic products. Especially Laptop/PCs. I use this laptop for not only home use but mainly for college. I love this laptop! I almost purchased the Microsoft surface pc. Reason why I didn't because I was debating on sale prices and how soon I can get a good laptop. I also looked at other laptops but other ones I've looked at for certain features weren't on sale. I love the fact that this laptop has a blacklit keyboard if I'm up at night I like to see the keyboard as I'm typing. Most affordable laptops in general don't have this feature. I also enjoy the touchscreen. I honestly didn't do much research on this laptop all I got out of it was that the keyboard lights up, fingerprint sign in, recommend use for students. I swear the summary of description from Target is where I purchased at didn't say anything about it being touchscreen. I found out that it was about a day or two after purchasing (haha). Which made me happy, I decided to keep after getting the "feel" of this laptop and that's why I didn't purchase the Surface Pro. But I do like that it also provides fast web use as well.

A year ago I bought an IdeaPad 3 (11th gen. i5, 8GB, 256 SSD). I had a short-term need for a computer and the low price way key. It quickly became my primary workstation due to a great keyboard and touch-pad. The screen isn't as bright as some, but in normal environments is fine. It has been flawless, and does what I need it to. When my backup computer died I picked up the current generation IdeaPad 3i (12 gen i5, 8GB, 256 SSD) and again added 16GB RAM. The new one has 8 GB soldered with an open slot so I now have a 24GB 10 CPU core workstation for a bargain price - the sale prices are key. Between my two IdeaPads I can run a lot of VMs simultaneously for dev. work. The ability to upgrade RAM is not common in value-line laptops now. It is not the lightest computer, but is not heavy. Build quality is good but not cheep - the plastics are resiliant and the hinge is very solid. Battery life isn't great if you push it hard - but that is true on most laptops. I appreciate the no-frills design that just works and gets my work done.

I bought this less than a month ago and the battery only lasts 2 - 3 hours max. This is with using off line office products and checking email. Very disappointed.

I love the speed, the quiet, but I think I'd choose a computer without the number pad in the future, since it kind of offsets your body. Does all the basics well.

This laptop would be so much better with a different screen. The display on this laptop is not good at all. Aside from the display the specs and performance of laptop are great and a very good value with ability to easily upgrade RAM and/or SSD to future proof it. Overall satisfied but don't see myself using it as a primary pc due to the display quality. I suppose I could just use an external monitor but that defeats the purpose of it being a laptop to some degree.

Bought this laptop and it has been a few weeks of use now. I love the dark blue almost black color and the overall finish. The touchscreen feature comes in handy often especially when viewing videos and you want to pause. It serves its purpose of a basic laptop. One downside is the battery life being really short so there is a constant need to charge it.
