Truly exceptional, just ignore its looks...
I've been buying gaming laptops since they became competitive with desktops over a decade ago, and was a laptop sustaining engineer for years and I find the Legion 5 Pro 16ACH6H to be truly exceptional.
The price to performance is remarkable. The system is incredibly responsive with stunning visuals (if one keeps the brightness up) and great gaming performance.
If you can find one today definitely go for it, I'd be shocked if you were disappointed.
There is one downside - this is NOT a sparkly, shiny gaudy gaming system, doesn't even have per key RGB, just 4 zone and no pretty lights on the chassis...

Excellent battery efficient cpu and great gpu pairing.

Really solid
Performance so far is very good. Can get hot and run loud, but I think that's probably pretty standard with this level of hardware. When the heat gets up, frames drop pretty significantly, but restart and cooldown period seems to fix it well.

High end Laptop for a mid-range price
Laptop has been great, handles everything I throw at it. The only issue is battery life last 2.5-3hrs on Auto mode, but can't complain the battery life on a gaming Laptop. Worth every dollar and more.

Great Product
I really am enjoying this computer! It has a great speed in which it does things. Not only is it really fast but it also has amazing graphics and it is easy to understand. When setting up this computer it explains everything step by step. Amazing product!!

Solid laptop with fee compromises
Spent quite a bit of time shopping around until I found this machine. It is very difficult to find a machine with the build quality and specs at this price point! The chassis is top of the line. The power and speed is also top-tier. The screen is crisp, clear, and bright, even in high-glare situations. The keyboard is really nice, even including a ten key. The only two downsides I have discovered up to this point are 1) the battery life when in high-performance mode is not the greatest, but that's to be expected, and 2) the bottom of the laptop gets really hot when gaming.

Legion 5i Pro review
Portable, Light, Sturdy, and Powerful.It wasily fits in my bag. And unlike some other gaming laptops that arent sturdy and have weak keyboards, The 5i Pro's keyboard is sturdy and doesnt bend inwards. It surprisingly isnt heavy at all. And the charger is long which is a plus in my book. It also never lags. Chrome is a notorious resource hog but with this laptop i can have multiple tabs open in the background while heavily gaming. Also the added option to switch between modes, balanced, performance, and quiet mode is something all brands should implement.

I like it. Not the best touchpad.
I've only had mine a few weeks but I like it. The only negative thing is I'm not a fan of the touchpad for clicking and navigation. It could depend on the user too but it doesnt work well for me. The fan isn't as loud or noticeable as I worried it would be from other reviews.
The laptop does get a little warm even idle/charging, but I'm not using it heavily yet. I did know I'd be sacrificing mobility/battery life for the power/productivity, and I wanna say maybe it gives 2-3 hours unplugged.

Great hardware ruined by Lenovo's software
Lenovo's OEM software remains inexplicably one of the industry's most inept in harnessing a machine's potential, instead opting towards a product aimed at control and third party data- gathering. Because of this Lenovo is unable to release a product that just plain works, the way it's supposed to. Their OEM version of Windows 11 doesn't even seem to be truly tested on this machine, riddled with system errors and makes refreshing or reinstallation even more complex. I'd go for another brand entirely.

Good laptop
Great Laptop, does what you expect. Most games handle very well, lags a bit with ray tracing but that's what you'd expect from not a 32 ram or 64. Will handle call of duty or other triple A games fine.

Fast and lightweight!
I had a 17" laptop previously and wasn't sure how I would like the smaller screen, but it's great! The higher resolution looks fantastic. It's lightweight and so much more comfortable to have in my lap. I use a laptop tray and my old laptop was so heavy it would dig into my legs and hurt after a while. This one is so comfy! It stays very cool for a gaming laptop and the fans are quiet compared to others. It has the best speakers I've ever had in a laptop and gets surprisingly loud. I love it so much I just bought a Legion 7i with a 4070 for my spouse!

Rockin beast of a laptop
A great machine at a great price. Super clean and slick design, feels super solid. Ive only had it for a couple weeks but so far Ive played cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Star Wars fallen order all on the highest settings and the laptop runs great! Stays cool and has awesome FPS. Really remarkable machine. Stoked.

Everything I wanted and more!
I needed a faster computer that could handle graphics and video work. I also do a lot of business stuff (MS Office, Adobe), but wanted a computer that could handle the work load. This computer does what I needed and SO much more! It's ridiculously fast, and it's great to know I can expand the memory if necessary in the future. I'm VERY pleased with this purchase!

Well worth the price I paid. Legion 5 pros great.
The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is very well built. Unlike every other gaming laptop that feels cheap, looks cheap and very bulky. The Legion 5 pro is gorgeous, it looks more like a business laptop than a gaming one. The fans get a bit loud, there are ways to make them quieter, I haven't bothered with it yet but will do soon. I use a Macbook Pro m1 for my everyday work, windows computers are good at gaming and that is it, and am spoiled by the build quality and amazing screen. The Lenovo is not on par with the Mac in terms of this but a lot closer compared with every other gaming laptop out there regardless of price. The 2k screen is the minimum you would ever want these days and it is bright and responsive. For me this is a perfect laptop. I got the 3070 over the 3070ti because cost to performance gains was not worth it. I paid less than 1100 after rebates and cashback. I hope to have this for about 5 years before I get a new Lenovo. Very impressed Lenovo!

Lenovo Legion 5i Productivity
Buying was made easy with the ability to compare equivalent products. I got multiple discounts, and it was shipped without any delay. I've been working on the computer for a month now and everything is working great. I'm not an IT savvy person, but the keys have a nice feel, it's fast, and has more than enough power to switch between work heavy work tasks and gaming.

A good gaming machine with lots of capabilities.
This laptop is a great machine for gaming, photo/video editing, daily browsing, and more. I find the 2tb of internal storage to be a great starting point, but I do wish it was expandable without needing to deal with the hassle of a RAID0 array.
When it comes to gaming, I have complaints about the temps it reaches. It regularly jumps into the mid-high 90s, and there's no way to undervolt this model to help with that because the option is locked at the hardware level. Despite the high temps, it performs well, and will be great for a wide range of games. If you are into streaming and recording your gameplay, this also has plenty of performance to do so. The GPU can also be slightly overclocked, which is a really cool feature that I haven't seen in many of my prior machines.
I do have to note that it comes with McAfee, which often reduces performance in games and other intensive tasks. Easy to uninstall, but I would prefer it not be there at all.

A workhorse of a laptop
Since I have been using this for school, work, and light gaming, it has exceeded my expectations. It can easily handle anything I run and the settings are easy to navigate when I want to work on battery alone. This laptop is heavier than my last, but my last latop can't run like this Legion nor last as long unplugged. This is one workhorse of a laptop I will be using for a long time.

Great workstation, very short battery life.
I think of it more as a portable desktop computer because of the battery life. This computer is solid -- the battery and the machine are super heavy. As an architecture student, lugging them around is tough but overall it runs all the CPU heavy programs I need (autocad, rhino, adobe suite, arcgis), and the specs are incredible for the price.

I bought a Lenovo Legion 5 about a month ago and the performance has steadily gotten worse, to the point where the fan runs super loud all the time and it is slow, and it shuts down for no reason. Hunk of junk that I will never buy again
