This advanced video switcher is designed with a compact, modular structure, enabling it to manage both video and audio signals in either the analog or digital domain. The AVS-816/VHD is equipped with sixteen channels, offering the flexibility to handle video or audio formats. Its unique design allows for the mixing of digital and analog switching modules for both video and audio, providing unparalleled system flexibility. The non-looping inputs of this video switcher ensure exceptional return loss performance. If equipped with audio follow, audio and video break-away can be selected with a single switch on the front panel. The source selection and follow switch feature dual LEDs, providing clear indication of follow or break-away status. The AVS-816/VHD Video Switcher is designed for efficient and economical routing or delegation of multiple video and audio signals. It's capable of being controlled by computer software, allowing up to 32 switchers to be managed simultaneously. For control options, the AVS-816/VHD can be operated via a serial data feed of either RS-232 or RS-422/485 interface standards, selectable by a simple internal DIP switch. A remote control panel, utilizing the common RJ-11 modular connector along with the RS-485 interface standard, is also available. For automated system applications, an optional GPI interface can be added. The serial communication protocol is compatible with existing Link video and audio switchers and remote control panels. To ensure seamless integration into existing systems, the AVS-816/VHD can be preset to respond to specific instruction sets.
