Alistair M : I have a Nikon D800 FX digital camera. My shortest focal length is 20 mm. I will use the polarizer mounted on a Lee medium wide angle hood with two filter slots. Will this set up cause vignetting? thanksFRED A : Hi Alistair, I'd be happy to answer your question. First of all I am just a amateur who enjoys trying different tools. I got the Lee 105mm polarizer for use with the Lee 100mm filter holder system, and there is no vignetting problem even with the deep holder and three filters installed. 105mm is 4 inches, so this filter should be wide enough for almost any lense except the huge primes. Hope this helps. Fred A.VINSON S : Yes it will....when you compose your shot just keep in mind to shoot a little wider and it's not such a big deal....WILLIAM H : Yes. You will have fall off at the corner. It will be ok if you just put 1 slot or use focal length more than 20mmJIWON Y : I think so. I have Canon 24-70 mm and I remove the one filter slot from my lee holder and I'm still getting light vignetting at 24mm.AUSTEN B : Not in my experience. I have the same setup (D800, wide angle holder with two filter slots). I get vignetting with the polarizer at 16mm on my 16-35, but by 20mm it is gone.

The advantage to this set up is you can change filter with out having to unscrew the lens from the camera. The adapter ring "snaps" into the filter holder. You can screw the polarizer filter directly into the 105mm lens but then you have un-screw it and attach the adapter ring or the filter holder to change.GEORGE L : Yes the adapter ring and 105mm CPL are compatible with the Lee Foundation Kit.MATTHEW G : Yes, you want the 105 lens adapter ring for the foundation kit a which will provide the threads to screw the filter onto your foundation kit. The cost is around $65 USD. Don't confuse this adapter with the standard 105 adapter ring which is for attaching your foundation kit to a lens with a 105 thread for filters - that one is over $100.WILLIAM H : Yes, you need a ring to first mount in the Lee foundation kit first
JOHN M : Will the Heliopan 105 mm circular polarizer work with the Lee 105 adapter ring?WILLIAM P : Yes, this is the advance of the Lee systems. You have adapter rings for the various lens sizes you have and the "carier" attaches to the ring. There are also additonal "slots" so you can stack differnt types of lenses. You could have a polarizer and and ND or partial ND filter etc. The Lee system is a great so you don't have to have different filters for all of the various sizes of lenses.
