Overcome the challenges of video signal loss during processing with the LINK model IEC-787 Vertical Interval Inserter. This high-performance video inserter is a cost-effective solution for recovering signals in the vertical blanking interval (VBI) that may be compromised during video compression, overlay, or comb filtering processes. The IEC-787 is adept at restoring vital data such as Closed Caption information on line 21, Ghost Cancellation Reference signals on line 19, and other signals within the vertical interval. With the convenience of front panel switches, you can select any of lines 10 through 21 for insertion, giving you full control over your video processing needs. Designed to handle odd and even fields separately, the IEC-787 uses a high-performance phase linear circuit, similar to the one used by LINK's Closed Caption equipment. This ensures clean insertion, completely devoid of artifacts, enhancing your video quality. The IEC-787 stands out with its exceptional video handling capabilities. It comes standard with a differential input configuration on both video inputs. However, a single-ended configuration can be selected using an internal jumper, providing flexibility in your setup. A switchable Monitor output is included, allowing you to preview either of the video inputs before the keyer. For system timing, a front panel calibrate switch enables the unit to alternate between inputs at a field rate. In the absence of an input connected to the VBI Source Input BNC, the IEC-787 can be utilized to simply pass or delete selected lines in the VBI of the program video. This feature adds to its versatility in video processing tasks. Housed in LINK's attractive and rugged 700 series chassis, the IEC-787 Vertical Interval Inserter is built for longevity, promising to deliver reliable service for years to come.
