Overcome the limitations of conventional audio transmission with the Lectrosonics IFBT4 Frequency-Agile Compact Transmitter. This high-quality, professional-grade device is designed for use in a variety of applications, including broadcast, motion picture, theater, and stage performances, where extended operating range and superior audio quality are paramount.
This compact and lightweight transmitter can function as a standalone device or seamlessly integrate with popular intercom systems. It utilizes Lectrosonics' patented Digital Hybrid Wireless technology (U.S. Patent 7,225,135) to digitally encode the audio in the transmitter and decode it in the receiver, while still transmitting the encoded information via an analog FM wireless link. This unique digital domain technique, combined with an analog FM link, offers the benefits of conventional FM wireless systems, such as excellent range, efficient use of RF spectrum, and resistance to interference, without the drawbacks of an analog compandor.
The IFBT4 transmitter offers 256 UHF frequencies in 100kHz steps, providing exceptional flexibility for coordinating frequencies in multi-channel wireless systems and avoiding interference from external RF signals and noise. Its microprocessor control ensures user-friendly operation and eliminates transients at turn-on and turn-off.
In TUNE mode, the transmitter output is muted to prevent interference in other wireless systems while changing frequencies. In XMIT mode, the output is activated, and the frequency remains constant. The transmitter delivers a robust 250 mW of output power, ensuring exceptional operating range when used with an efficient antenna and the R1A belt-pack receiver.
The device features a backlit LCD display for easy viewing in dimly lit conditions or direct sunlight. DIP switch settings on the rear panel ensure compatibility with RTS and Clear Com intercom systems. The transmitter also includes a preamp stage in the input stage for direct connection to dynamic microphones in standalone applications.
The IFBT4 transmitter is housed in a rugged, machined aluminum casing with an electrostatic powder coating and an anodized finish for durability. It is powered by 6 to 18 Volts DC via a locking connector and comes with a detachable, locking 1/4 wavelength flexible, galvanized steel whip antenna that connects to a 50 Ohm BNC connector on the rear panel.
Experience the freedom of movement and ease of use that the Lectrosonics IFBT4 Frequency-Agile Compact Transmitter offers, making it an ideal choice for live performances, film and television production, and any situation where a wired microphone may be inconvenient or impractical.
