The LCT 140 AIR Small Diaphragm Instrument Condenser Microphone features two switchable sound characteristics: AIR and FLAT. The AIR setting delivers an open, sparkling character ideal for a record-ready sound, while the FLAT setting provides a linear frequency response for 'as-it-is' reproduction of instruments.
The cardioid polar pattern of the LCT 140 AIR microphone is designed to capture sound sources in front of the microphone while minimizing sound from the sides and rear. This makes it an excellent choice for recording in both live settings and studios.
The LCT 140 AIR microphone is housed in a CNC'ed aluminum casing. This makes it both durable and lightweight, ensuring it can withstand regular use while also being easy to position and set up.
The low-cut filter in the LCT 140 AIR microphone minimizes structure-borne noise and low-frequency rumble, ensuring cleaner recordings. The pre-attenuation pad is useful for recording high SPL instruments, helping to maintain the clarity and accuracy of the sound.

AIR and FLAT explained
AIR delivers an open, sparkling character. A great choice if you need record ready sound right from the start. You can immediately use and share those recordings without spending any time on post-production.
FLAT provides a linear frequency response for "as-it-is" reproduction of drums, strings, acoustic guitars and choirs. It's a great choice if you aim for highly realistic sonic images. Having both options at hand makes the LCT 140 AIR a highly versatile recording tool.
