Lee filters are brilliant. A set of grads is essential for any serious field photographer. They have a gorgeous look. Nicely packaged, too. Lots of good YouTube guides for the uninitiated. Optical filters certainly look better than the software generated effects. Unless you prefer that electro-hype look.

These filters are easy to use and work beautifully! Still getting used to using them as they are my first set. Love the fact that I don’t have to use Lightroom to fix my skies!

This filter is great for shooting seascapes or flat horizons in hard light conditions. Great filter. No visible or noticeable color cast. I changed my Formatt Hitech for this.

If you want to be on budget with your landscape filter kit then buy just two of them: a hard grad 0.6 and a soft grad 0.6. They will be the only filter you will really need and use (apart from a polarizer). I highly recommend Lee filters. They produce no visible ir noticeable color cast. I just love mine.

The first time I tried using this specific filter was in Myanmar on a photography workshop tour. The improvement in sunset shots was impressive. Purchased a set when I got home. Have been playing with sunsets on windy days when there is a lot of cloud cover. The slower shutter speeds make it possible to let the clouds create interesting patterns behind the silhouetted subjects. Highly recommend.

This is a great filter if you have large lenses or very wide lenses. But be aware it probably is too large for normal smaller lenses, and the shading is very subtle. It is a first-class, well made piece of kit. But not an obvious thing for everyday photos with standard lenses. Might be better to get a smaller filter with more obvious shading.

I used this product to take pictures in Times Square. The idea being to reduce the bright lights of the neon so that the people on the street can be seen. An example is attached. That picture used both a soft and hard filter mounted in the holder. However, one looks like an idiot with this bulky object attached to one's camera. In Times Square, idiots pass unnoticed. I doubt that that is true elsewhere.

Brilliant filter that offers true ND. Time will tell if it stands up to regular usage. The Hard Edge filter is a bit more specific than the soft edge filter because of its effect on the subject matter. Its great for sea scapes or flat landscapes but use the soft for undulating landscapes or exposer balance. This Hard edge filter is perfect for your telephoto lenses because it applies more like a Soft edge filter (if this is what you after). I've found the Hard edge is a little restricting to use when rotated because the Hard edge can be noticed (depending on subject) as apposed to the soft edge which feathers the exposure. If you know how to use it, It can offer exceptional results! Also comes with a nice pouch... but like most of these accessories, you don't use them if you have the right camera bag.

Not much to say except it came and works as expected. Optically excellent, like other Lee filters. I see no color shifting or other problems when stacked with a Hitech .9 Hard GND.

Pros: Solid filter, neutral colour, fits securely into the Lee Foundation Kit Cons: Creates lens flare, not as useful as the 0.9 ND grad

It does the job well. Some good thinking when using it really helps. It must be position in front of your lens and you must be looking through your viewfinder or LCD to see what it is doing. Once in position fire the shutter.

I used the filter this week to take sunrise photos at the beach. I was very happy with the results. Great colors in the sky with full detail in the sand and ocean at first light.
