With the SMDWB Wireless Miniature Wideband Beltpack Microphone Transmitter and Recorder, you can enjoy an extended operating range and battery life, thanks to its selectable output power of 25, 50, and 100 mW. This feature allows you to optimize the balance between range and battery life according to your specific needs.
This advanced microphone transmitter and recorder offers a hands-free setup and adjustment process using audible tones. It also features a sleep mode to conserve battery power during setup, especially when concealed inside costumes, and can be easily awakened for normal operation when your production begins.
The SMDWB transmitter boasts an input gain adjustment in 1 dB increments over a 44 dB range, and an adjustable low-frequency audio roll-off for 3 dB down points at 35, 50, 70, 100, 120, or 150 Hz. This allows you to control subsonic and very low-frequency audio content effectively.
Designed with DSP-based technology, this device is compatible with all Digital Hybrid receivers and can also work with Lectrosonics 200 and 100 Series, IFB receivers, and some analog receivers from other manufacturers. Its input section features the unique Lectrosonics servo bias input circuitry with a standard TA5M type jack, making it suitable for use with electret lavaliere mics, dynamic mics, or line-level signals.
The SMDWB transmitter also includes a DSP-controlled analog audio limiter, which protects the entire audio chain from overload. It offers a range of more than 30 dB for superior overload protection and a dual release envelope for acoustically transparent operation while maintaining low distortion of brief transients and longer duration peaks.
The device features a water-resistant control panel with an LCD, membrane switches, and multi-color LEDs for quick and accurate input gain adjustments, frequency, and compatibility mode selection. It is powered by lithium AA batteries and housed in a lightweight, rugged package machined from solid aluminum blocks. The special non-corrosive finish makes it resistant to saltwater exposure and perspiration, making it ideal for use in extreme environments.
In addition to its transmitting capabilities, the SMDWB transmitter can also function as a standalone recorder, producing industry-standard .wav (BWF) files compatible with virtually any audio or video editing software.
For RF-intense multichannel and mobile venues, the device offers a broad selection of 3072 frequencies selectable in 25 or 100 kHz steps across the wide tuning range of each frequency band. This ensures optimal performance even in the face of potential interference problems, such as those posed by DTV telecasts.
In summary, the SMDWB Wireless Miniature Wideband Beltpack Microphone Transmitter and Recorder offers a comprehensive solution for high-quality audio recording and transmission, with a host of features designed to enhance performance, versatility, and ease of use.
