The SSM transmitter offers selectable frequencies in 100 kHz or 25 kHz steps across an impressive maximum tuning range of 76.7 MHz. This provides a total of 3072 available frequencies across three standard frequency blocks, ensuring a wide range of applications. The tuning range varies in some blocks to comply with applicable frequency allocations.

Powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, this durable transmitter features a secure stainless steel battery door that can't be accidentally jarred open. The servo bias input accepts both mic and line level signals, with a broad range of gain adjustment in 1 dB steps. LED indicators on the keypad allow for precise gain adjustments, ensuring maximum signal-to-noise ratio and minimal distortion.

The SSM transmitter is compatible with earlier analog Lectrosonics receivers, Lectrosonics IFB receivers, and some receivers from other manufacturers, thanks to DSP emulation modes selected in the LCD menu.
