There are many features that really impress me inmcluding being able to print from my phone. The scan and print takes no time at all to have your print. Setup was fairly easy and we were up and running in a short period of time. It also has neat smart features like cloud printing, and cloud faxing. I can use voice commands to print, scan, or copy documents using Alexa or Google Assistant. I can also print from or scan to cloud services like Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive. We have not used all the functions but I am sure we will be pleased with them as well. Overall, I think the Lexmark 3442i is a great all-in-one printer for home or small office use. This is such a great product! I've tried a lot of not-so-good printers in the past, but this one is so worth the price. It is fast, good quality, and prints double sided, plus so much more. For a home printer, I'm extremely impressed. I'm actually bringing it to my office to set up because the quality is so much better than the one I have there! I don't have too much experience with Lexmark printers in the past and have always been exposed to other brands, but I was pleasantly surprised at the multifunction printer, Lexmark MB3441i. It just so happens that I recently got rid of my old inkjet but still wanted something that would last me a while and laser printers do just that. The Lexmark MB3441i is an all-in-one type machine. This was a compact sized monochrome print/scan/copy machine with several other features that were quite useful. There is an automatic feeder, flatbed scanner, 1 multi-size paper that can hold a little less than a full ream of standard size paper. The unit measures roughly 16" x 14" x 14". It weighs a good amount, with obvious bulk from the feeder head. The initial unpacking was a bit tedious, as there was quite a bit of ribbon tape (that at times split and left stringy residue). as well with decently (small enough but with enough cushioning) foam inserts. The quickstart guide was a bit ambiguous The unit itself has connectivity to wifi, wifi direct, ethernet ports, mobile connect, and printer usb. No other cables were provided other than the power cable. I did have a usb 3 version type printer cable but it did not fit (blue) and ended up opting to connect via direct cat6 networking. There is a usb port on the side of the display panel for usb drive access. Setup was a breeze and the printer was immediately detected. The driver package was not too big and did not include a lot of bulk software, though it did not include everything and I needed to download the scanner utility separately. The print job was quick and speedy. It was a bit clunky and noisy and it jammed the very first time. This was due to improper paper placement in the tray. The markings on the paper tray did not make sense or line up to what it was. The print job was sharp and no smudges with solid shades of gray and black. The scanning left a little to be desired as I had to mess around with the profiles to get it to scan well. Nice little feature was also being able to update drivers directly while connected on a network. I'm hoping this printer is a keeper. I'll have to explore more on image scanning quality, but once settled in, it does a solid job and everything I expect it to. There is also mobile connectivity, internal web server, and scan to email. The QR code from the instruction made the setup process pretty smooth for me. It's straightforward for me to understand each part and function, especially for printing and copying. It took me a bit more time than expected to set up the email/scanning function and I had some trouble with having it not print the scan log. I was using Gmail for the SMTP and I found helpful information on the Lexmark website for specifics. I still haven't figured out how to make the printer not print a scan log after scanning each time besides putting no paper in the tray or potentially updating the firmware. But after all, it was a smooth experience and it only takes a few clicks to have the job done. I really love the scanning quality. My documents were very wrinkly but the scanned ones are impeccable. When I opened the printer box, it was evident that Lexmark had taken great care in packaging. I do wish for clearer directions about safely pulling it out of the box.Setup was a breeze.It was one of the easiest printer setups I have ever experienced. After plugging it in and confirming a few choices on the printer, my computer notified me of a new printer before I could even find any instructions for connecting. Within seconds, our phones detected, identified, and connected to the printer. I wish all of my previous printers connected this easily. We don't print many graphics other than simple tables or charts, but I did try and print a few presentation slides and personal photos, which actually appeared professional and high definition.Compared to my previous printers, this printer emits considerably less noise during printing.I have yet to be distracted or annoyed by some random printer noise. I wish the paper bin would hold more than 250 sheets, but I also acknowledged that this is more of a norm across brands.The copy feature works as expected whether you use the flatbed scanner or the feeder tray. I don't have any concerns about this operation, and I find that the copies rendered are what you would expect of any copier.What varies in the way of copying is speed, and this machine produces copies just as quickly as it prints.The best part about the scanning functionality is that you can have it saved to your computer (with software), email it, scan to a network drive, or save the scan to a USB flash drive. Scanning to a USB is by far the easiest and quickest because it requires no setup, but regardless of how you obtain the scan, it can scan up to 600dpi, in color or black and white, and create .jpg, .pdf, or .tiff files. I'm pleased with the efficiency and quality of this printer. This is an excellent all-around multifunction machine. It offers high-end performance and productivity at a reasonable price. So excited to get this Lexmark MB3442 in the mail! We needed to upgrade our current inkjet printer. It came with an easy to set up guide and literally took less than 5 minutes to set up and be ready to use. The printer is a little bit larger than your average size home printer but with the capabilities of a large scale printer. I love that I am able to easily print from my phone! The response time from both my phone and office computer has been amazing and it quickly prints numerous sheets without any issues. The paper tray holds the right amount of paper need and seems to function well without any jams. I love the additional features of cloud printing and voice commands through smart devices. TLDR; Look no further, this is the best all-in-one printer/scanner/fax/copier machine for home/small business use. Honest confession, I have 3 machines at home that I use separately for print/scan/copy jobs. Scanner doesn't print well and printer can't scan. This setup ends up taking too much space in my home-office. I have been very reluctant in making a switch to all-in-one but now I am glad that I did.
