While the INNOVATION XL8x8 series of routing switchers, including the HD/SDI XL818HD/1A and XL818HD/3A configurations, are designed to seamlessly auto-sense HD or SDI video signals, they also ensure the correct format is provided on each output. This series is renowned for its 8x8 HD asynchronous video and analog stereo audio capabilities, all housed within a compact 1RU frame with a single power supply.The XL8x8 series stands out with its modular design, featuring a separate plug-in module for the 8x8 video. The 8x8 audio can be conveniently added later by simply plugging in the desired type of audio module, offering flexibility and adaptability to your evolving needs. Notably, there are no active components in the frame, enhancing the product's durability and reliability.The series also boasts plug-in power-supply modules, with two front load slots for power supplies. One supply comes as standard, while the second supply serves as a redundant power supply option. The system also includes true load power monitoring with remote indicators for both power supplies, ensuring efficient power management.The INNOVATION XL8x8 series is equipped with a standard computer hardware-based Ethernet 10Base2 single coax connection for remote control panel systems. Thanks to Link Electronics' unique 'control panel cradle', model CR100, local control panels can be easily transitioned to the 10Base2 remote network and vice versa, providing versatile control options.The series also offers a wide selection of AFV, breakaway, and X-Y local and/or remote control panels, catering to a variety of professional video and audio setups. Additionally, it features a built-in RS232 user serial port, with a simple and flexible protocol, and vertical interval switching referenced to an external input, further enhancing its efficiency and versatility.
