Review Summary

Rated 5 out of 5

The only camera you will ever need

This very compact and rugged 4x5 camera gives you most of the advantages of an optical bank (precision, rigidity) with those of a field camera (compactness, portability). The lensboards are an industry standard and are very compact. The MT is a delight to use, although slightly more tricky with wide angle lenses. This is the best and unfortunately most expensive camera I have ever used.

Linhof Master Technika

A great camera but I usually left it home and brought an Ebony which is easier to use & setup, and lighter. Has rangefinder but requires expensive viewfinder & grip to use, as well as cams for each lens. One must rate it at the top, but many owners end up using a different 4x5.
