Review Summary

While rated for 750 slides, I found that the box can hold up to 900 (30 per divided slot). I dialed that number back to 29 per slot (870 total) to give a little wiggle room. I like this model better than the 215 with its plastic tray. Because of its thicker dividers between the slots, it's not possible to store 750 slides in the 215. 660 is about the maximum for that model.

It is not my first time with Adorama and as before I was not desapointed. Fast, efficient and accurate service.

Well-built and durable - happily Logan went back to more-solid construction standards for these slide files. Have at least 100 of them and they are essential for maintaining order in any large slide collection.

This product is being used for 35 mm slides. It seems well made and the two coasts work well. I agree with other reviewers that the dividers are more flimsy than earlier ones inhave purchased but I do not see that as a serious problem. I could laminate them if imthought it a problem. The box is fairly heavy but I suppose if they used thinner gauge it would be less sturdy.

Works very well for 2x2 coin envelopes. Dividers are ample but flimsy, made from heavy paper. Case similar to this that I bought many years ago has metal dividers which work much better. But overall I'm satisfied. Very prompt service; nicely packaged.

The Logan system is best-in-class. For slide storage that optimizes space usage, combined with its durability, stackability, and large capacity, it is the best solution for large and small slide storage. It might be more expensive than the archival board solutions or plastic trays, but its combined benefits far outweigh its cost differential. Recommend for small and large capacity slide storage.

I bought one of these a long time ago to put my own slides in. I also wanted to archive the family slides my Dad had taken over the years. He was storing them in slide carousels which were bulky and space consuming, they were warping and the PVC's from the plastic were discoloring some of the slides. These fit so well in the boxes. I own (6) of them and none of them have uneven rows as a few customers had complained of. I like the metal since it will not discolor the slides. I also like it because it is sturdy for storage. I did not want cardboard slide storage boxes, too flimsy. And I do not have to be concerned about slides warping anymore. I also like the cardboard box the metal box comes in as that seals off the tiny hole in the corners where the metal joins and I label each box on the outside. I do wish the labeling cardboard tags in the inside stood a little higher. You really cannot see them like a file folder, you have to sift through and push the slides back to see what is written on them. I also don't know if they are acid free. I do wish the tiny hole in the metal box corners was not there but with metal, you can only do so much. As I stated, the cardboard box they come in takes care of that. What once was in some 40 slide carousels, now fits nice and neatly in these metal boxes. What a space saver! I would highly recommend this for slide storage.

I purchased the slide boxes to hold my husband's coin collection. The slots are the perfect size for the 2x2 plastic holders for the bigger denominations of coins, Morgans, Kennedy ect... They stack well in a safe.

I use it to store slides my Father took from the 1950's to 1970's. This storage case is not as good as ones he used and needed something to store the excess slides. The cardboard dividers are very flimsy. The Logan model 215 has a plastic tray on the bottom and is superior in my opinion.
