Review Summary

To start off, this has been my absolute favorite display to use over the past year. I am nearing 2000 hours of usage with no visible signs of burn-in at all. I almost always keep the monitor brightness at 90+ and switch between Low and High max brightness depending on how bright my room is. As a semi-professional competitive gamer, 480hz is an absolute must-have for the most serious gamers (however it's not for everyone and save some money if 4k240 is all you need). The "matte" coating is also very glossy compared to standard TN/IPS matte, while also having the benefits of diffusing light. This is huge for me because I sit near a window, and completely gloss panels would just annoy me. As much as I love this monitor, I have some criticisms that come from the heart. The main area where this monitor lacks is that the HDR of WOLEDs are supposedly more washed out compared to QD-OLED panels. However, peak brightnesses of WOLEDs are much higher which makes sparkles really shine. With the newer RGWB subpixel layout (instead of older WRGB), there is much better text clarity and sharpness around edges, but some colors like yellow for HDR gets washed out because the subpixels required to produce a more vibrant color aren't as close to each other. I have a theory that due to this, LG's factory calibration tools ended up making the Gamer 1 profile of this monitor much more washed out, despite it being labeled as the Vesa certified HDR profile. Switching the game mode over to Gamer 2 turns up the saturation a tiny bit, but going to the FPS and RTS modes actually cranks up the brightness of the colored subpixels. I think some contrast setting is higher, however the "pop" of the monitor in HDR is even better than QD-OLEDs, yet the setting remains hidden and most reviewers are telling users to stick to the most washed out profile. Either that, or the W subpixel may have been incorrectly calibrated, so the rest of the colors look dull in comparison. Regardless, colors could be much more vibrant for the HDR when they are not by default. Additionally, my last complaint is the Windows HDR calibration tool is broken for this monitor. With Nvidia GPUs and the Nvidia Overlay enabled, the calibration tool will clip at 600 nits and this monitor's full brightness experience is also reduced. Disabling Nvidia's overlay and putting the game mode to FPS or RTS will now have the tool clip at 2700 nits instead. However, this is still very wrong because my luxmeter will measure that peak brightness is 1300 nits regardless. Many people online are calibrating this setting wrong, and it is only up to LG to push a firmware fix to correct the right peak brightnesses. If LG can look into my 2 issues with deep intent, then this product would be a perfect 10/10. Unfortunately, the panel is held back by its own programming.

Purchased this monitor about a year ago+. The monitor frequently decides not to turn on and has a mind of its own. It's now a $1300 paper weight as I use my $200 hyperx monitor from 5+ years ago. As I'm writing this on my phone at my desk the monitor has turned on for roughly 20 seconds then goes black once again. It's almost like the screen needs 15 minutes to warm up?. Then when used just goes awall flickering on the verge of giving me seizures. Disappointed in this purchase and LG for producing a product that should be plug and play. As a tech savvy person I've tried everything to make it work and can confirm this is not the monitor you want to buy if you want a monitor that works as advertised.if I could give 0 stars I would.

For the price this monitor lacks USB-c connectivity. But my biggest issue is with g and its customer service and why I'm returning the monitor. The tracking Number on my order has yet to update since Thursday. It's Monday now. No one could answer why. Or give me an estimate when to expect the display. I stayed pleasant and at the end of the call the customer rep would not hang up so I could fill out the survey. And when I would hang up I was then transferred to FedEx. Which I did not request. I don't reward LG's bad behavior so I'm returning the monitor. I'd rather buy a monitor from a company with a better customer service disposition than LG

If you can find a good deal on the monitor it's really excellent. I was very concerned at first because the input switching wasn't working for me. Searching Google the answer was simple - use a different HDMI cable. And you know what? It works perfectly now. I have an OLED tv from Light at is also excellent, but in a bright room can have a lot of glare. I guess the complaint about this screen is that there is more noticeable gradients and pixelation - well, it's a compromise either way essentially. A glossy tinted screen covering would resolve that issue but create glare?. I'm good with it. If you're having issues try a different cable!

DO NOT CHOOSE THE OPTION TO PICK UP AT YOUR LOCAL BEST BUY! It's been two weeks since I ordered this monitor and it's been "processing."the lg customer service has no idea what's going on with it and they give me the run around! One even told me that Best Buy has to cancel it! (Which is a total lie) worst customer service I've ever experienced with any company! But they made sure they took my money though!!

This monitor was perfect for my needs and it was an incredible product... while it worked. The appeal of this monitor is that it caters to both a visually stunning casual gaming market AND a competitive gaming market, which is my exact wheelhouse. HOWEVER - two weeks into owning the product, I started getting random monitor flickering where it would turn off and on multiple times with no warning. This is extremely noticeable when playing competitive eSports titles where losing access to your screen, even for just seconds, is a huge issue. I TRIED going through support to see if I could submit a Repair Request. When doing research on others that had this issue, it seems there were some people that had success going this route. But for me, when I tried to submit a Repair Request form, that form was not working. I went the route of contacting their chat agents and every single time, they were extremely unhelpful. One suggested that I unplug my DISPLAY PORT CABLE and then to verify if the issue still persisted (great idea! Let's disconnect my display and see if it flickers!). I then tried to ask if they could just help me submit a repair request but each assistant INSISTED I had to troubleshoot the issue first. I told them I had already tried this multiple times but they would not take that for an answer and ultimately they didn't allow me to submit a repair request. It's just not worth the effort. There are other Dual Mode products out there - I will be going that route and returning this monitor as I could not get the help I needed. I would have loved to stick with it, but if this MAJOR issue can't be resolved, then there's no point.

Not worth it, even on sale. Clearly there are QC issues with this monitor. To start, the "hotkeys" for switching between 4K and FHD do not work on my monitor out of the box. To add to this, the VRR flickering is INSANELY BAD. Text clarity for a 4K monitor should be much better than what I'm seeing. There is no cooling built into the monitor either, a strange choice given its supposed performance. I will be returning this for a refund and purchasing something else. Avoid at all costs.

Looked for a gaming monitor that synced well with older games. This one does the trick! I also like that it pretty much has all the features that the other monitor has that wasn't advertised here. Not the brightest screen but that is what syncs quite well with older games and it grows on you pretty well for newer games. Got tired of high brightness and decided to look into gamma more which this one does quite well compare to ASUS ROG HDR1400 MicroLed PG32UGX. I will miss those $1800 screen but I always thought It was just a tad bit bright for gaming but YouTube is perfect, almost identical with this screen which worried me at first. This screen holds up well with FPS screen brightness if your looking for those 6500k brightness from Asus. Also those pixel speaker is a nice touch, Always trusted my LGV30 and V60 for audiophile features and this speaker honestly keeps up with all 50-100 dollars desktop speakers. I trust that they gave something for audiophile since LG is one of the best at it cellphone DAC wise. Looking forward to this screen, looks good in older games like Call Of Duty (2003) Original.

I've had this monitor for approximately six months. I primarily use it for gaming but also occasionally surf the internet and edit my photos in Gimp and Capture One. The quality of this monitor is excellent, and the picture is beautiful. The firmware has been updated a few times and they made some improvements. I have also tweaked the settings both in the monitor settings and in the AMD Adrenalin software to adjust the colors and brightness. I find the brightness to be perfect and the colors are nice and saturated once I adjusted it to my preference. The matte screen is more like an eggshell or slightly glossy screen which is perfect for me. I also like the dual mode, but I did find sometimes amazingly my computer has a hard time hitting the 480hz on most fps titles but with some tweaking it can there or close on most fps games. I use a 7800x3d along with a 7900xtx and it works well with this monitor. It's expensive but I really enjoy this monitor and feel like it's a worthwhile purchase.

I purchased two 32" OLED monitors (32GS95UE) directly from LG in May 2024. As a long-time reseller of LG home TVs, I have always had a positive experience with their products and services-until now. Due to my busy schedule, with over 50 employees both in the U.S. and abroad, it took me some time to install the monitors for my personal setup. Upon installation, one monitor worked as expected, but the other failed to display video from any of its inputs. I immediately contacted LG's customer support, only to be told that I would need to package and send the monitor back for repair. This was unacceptable to me, as I had purchased a new product and expected it to work right out of the box. When I expressed my frustration, I was met with indifference. The customer service representative dismissed my concerns, stating that as a reseller, I should be familiar with LG's policies. I insisted that I didn't want a repaired monitor when I paid for a new one, but was told that nothing could be done. When I requested to speak with someone with more authority, I was refused. Given the poor response and lack of resolution from LG, I am left with no choice but to discontinue reselling their products. This experience has been disappointing and completely unacceptable for a company of LG's stature. I can no longer recommend LG to my clients or colleagues and will be exploring other brands moving forward.

In general, it is a solid monitor. I had so many expectations of this monitor in terms of HDR and the 1300 nits maximum brightness. But unfortunately I was mercilessly disappointed! I switched from an Alienware aw3423dw to the LG because of the matte display and the many advertised features. In my opinion, the software/firmware is completely immature. Many bugs, glitches and resulting picture quality problems. Many of the problems are known to LG. Black crush, EOTF tracking errors, color banding problems, gamma problems, etc. I have been in contact with LG via X for over 3 months and have pointed out the very annoying problem with the HDR mode, where the 1300 nits are not reached. Only just under 600 nits are achieved. One reason for this is that the DSC (Display Stream Compression) is interfering and the EDID values are entered incorrectly. The community quickly came up with a workaround by switching off DSC in HDMI mode and entering the correct brightness values using the CRU software. And then, of course with the compromise of only being able to use 120Hz, it was possible to use the 1300 nits in HDR mode. The 240Hz can therefore only be used if you accept broken HDR. The advertised HDR capabilities together with the 240Hz are simply a lie! LG has now taken over 3 months to find a solution for this. Unfortunately, I no longer have high hopes after reading up on previous monitors. There are similar problems there, which were never fixed by a firmware update. I really can't understand it. I actually had a lot of fun with the monitor. Very good brightness in SDR mode, good workmanship, great matt coating, but no product support whatsoever. I've been using the LG CX TV for years and have always been satisfied. Above all, another manufacturer uses the same built-in panel in their most recently released monitor and does not have the problems mentioned. I am therefore firmly convinced that all the problems could be fixed with a firmware update. LG simply won't or can't. Take your pick. As long as this serious problem has not been solved, I simply cannot recommend this monitor. Hands off!

The monitor has great SDR brightness and color accuracy, but if you're looking for good HDR I would look elsewhere. HDR peak brightness for this monitor isn't as advertised.

This monitor is complete, absolutely mind-blowing picture. I switched from a 60hz 4K curved screen I haven't remotely considered returning this monitor. The sound is excellent, the picture quality is so good. Colors verses real life in photography looks amazing. Games I've been playing for 10 years or more look better than ever. That's what this purchase was all about! Let's get on to what sucks: UltraGear Control Center - where are you Tuning options are locked to different "profiles" - I don't know if even LG could make sense explaining this one Horizontal banding - yeah, move an object on screen alongside a flat shaded object. It's bad

Purchased this new from BestBuy on 9-5-24. Running a high end I9, DDR5 system, with a 4090 card. I am a computer dealer and owner of Gementerprises and I absolutely LOVED the appearance! The issue is a week ago I thought maybe playing there was a shadow or dust, then tonight I play and there is CLEAR burn mark from my video cameras in the display! YES SCREEN BURN in 18 days! I fixed monitors before back in the day and have not seen screen burn for over a decade. I unplugged the monitor, thinking maybe it might refresh itself since it is OLED, no luck. It is NOT a software issue, even running a white background like MS Word I see it. LG says call best Buy, they takes 10 business days once it goes to their facility, no advance replacement available even if I pay. BestBuy says it is after 14 days, go to LG. Talked to a nice agent in Philippines for LG, but she cannot help me, but LG needs to see this themselves so I have a video up on Youtube called LG 32GS95UE screen burn issue only 18 days old. LG says send it in, Best Buy says too late to return. What kind of junk is this? BEWARE FOLKS, SCREEN BURN IN 18 days, if I did not see this myself, my video shows my monitor, box AND receipt in 18 days of use. I do NOT want this monitor, there is a problem in design clearly, I will not do an OLED monitor by this manufacturer-this is CRAZY! I want my money back, store credit, anything but this-it's great for 2 weeks MAYBE? BEWARE BIG TIME!

Overall, this is a great monitor with exceptional input latency (as confirmed by the Rtings review). The 480Hz mode isn't as blurry as some claim, and if you position the monitor slightly further back, it looks almost like native 1080p. However, there's a minor annoyance: when playing any game in windowed mode, the monitor displays a message about turning off in 5 minutes unless you cancel it, and I haven't found a way to fix this yet. The HDR performance is outstanding once calibrated, but the monitor has a significant drawback: I've already had to replace it twice. The first unit died after just 20 days, and the second one developed vertical lines on dim colors (particularly greys, which are hard to capture in photos but much more noticeable in person).

Its 32-inch OLED panel delivers stunning 4K UHD clarity with vibrant colors and deep blacks, enhancing every detail in your games. The dual mode functionality allows for seamless switching between 4K at 240Hz and Full HD at an astonishing 480Hz, ensuring fluid and immersive gameplay tailored to your needs. This monitor has great colors, and mine (as opposed to another reviewer) has inky blacks. Text is sharp. My main use, however, is gaming. The 1080p at 480hz works flawlessly, but with a 4090/7950x3d the 240hz 4K is just so fluid and sharp, I just leave it at 4K. Will purchase more for my kids.

Had this monitor for a few months now and LOVE it. Use it for productivity and gaming. True blacks are great and does not give me headaches while working. 480hz mode works great too. Would recommend to anybody in the market.

Good display, I would rate it 5-Stars if it didn't have these issues: The 32GS95UE-B has macro blocking-like issues on streaming content, the display exhibits severe macroblocking (blocky, unstable colors) when watching streaming content. I have tested the same content on another display, and the artifacts are not present, indicating it has something to do with the display. It might be related to the posterization issue outlined below. It appears the display has no dithering, but not entirely sure, some gradients look great at 8,10,12-bit but sometimes it's awful posterization. There should not be dithering issues at 10 and 12-bit, but it does. I haven't had a display with dithering issues in probably the last 15 years. I do wish that highlights in HDR were more detailed, even though it does reach the 1300 nit peak brightness, with the current firmware it seems to clip at 590 nits in Windows HDR Calibration, it is decent, but there is more to be desired here. So it is impossible to have a good HDR calibration at this time. If you disable DSC, the display is limited to 120Hz, but you can tweak the EDID with CRU to have a higher Max luminance, I've tested up to 1300 Nits, which makes it calibrate accurately in Windows HDR Calibration, and it looks fantastic. Aside from the two issues major annoyances and a moderate HDR issues, the 32GS95UE-B is a fantastic display. It is very low latency and offers a wide range of refresh-rates. It has very low motion blur, it's unperceivable IMO. It gets very close to excellence on black level tests. Suggestions: LG should prioritize fixing the macroblocking/posterization issue. Improve the Max luminance in the firmware. Improve EOTF tracking (yes this has already been improved a little with the latest firmware, but it can still be better). LG should also add the ability to turn off CPC in the settings menu, we have enough screen saving features to decide what we prefer as users / customers.

I recently got the 32" UltraGear? OLED Dual Mode 4K UHD 240Hz or FHD 480Hz monitor and was immediately impressed by its stunning picture quality and high refresh rates. Paired with my EVGA 3080 TI, the visuals are crisp, colors are vibrant, and the performance in games is incredibly smooth. The design is sleek, and the setup was straightforward, making it a great addition to my gaming setup. However, I've encountered a frustrating issue with DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC). When enabled, my system does not display anything during boot. I have to boot using DisplayPort 1.4 and then switch to DSC afterward, which is not ideal. I've tried everything to fix this: updating the BIOS, GPU drivers, and monitor firmware, as well as testing different DisplayPort cables, but the issue persists. This workaround is inconvenient and detracts from the overall experience, especially considering the monitor's premium price and top-tier specifications. Despite this issue, the overall performance of the monitor is exceptional. The OLED screen offers deep blacks and vibrant colors that make gaming and media consumption a joy. If the DisplayPort issue could be resolved, this would be a near-perfect monitor. For now, it's a 4/5 stars.

The 1080p mode kind of sucks because it is NOT correctly integer scaled. It is blurry and looks quite bad. Almost looks interlaced (because it sort of is). Otherwise the monitor looks great in 4k. Bright enough. The coating is perfect. Better than glosser. Not an ugly matte. W-Oled looks great for getting work done (no ugly text fringing). If you the 1080p mode is an important feature to you I don't reccomend buying.
