This monitor is absolutely incredible!!! I've never felt such immersion in a game outside VR. The picture on this monitor is perfect the colors, the brightness, everything is phenomenal! Text sucks because of the PPI but I knew that going in and was fine with that because I bought this strictly for gaming, and media viewing. But honestly while I wouldn't want to go read an ebook on it, the text really isn't that bad and doesn't bother me. I have zero issues reading anything on windows, or website scrolling. I highly recommend this item. Especially like me if your mostly using it for gaming, and media consumption. While 4k would look better I'd rather have the 240hz refresh rate. I haven't messed with WebOS features but from what I can tell it looks easy to navigate and understand. Only negative is it went down $200 the day after I ordered it but I suppose it happens.

That Matte finish ruined the panel, OLED Must be Glass not this, picture in SDR looks similar to an IPS monitor, Horrible! HDR looks better but I need to consistently run the OLED Pixel Clear feature otherwise some shapes will appear on screen, overall I am totally disappointed with my purchase and I am not happy at all with this, wish I knew how horrible this monitor, Stay away.

Went to put on my wall mount since the base is too large. This was to replace a 34" that is wearing out. I removed the base screws and went to put my backing on. the first three screws went fine than the 4th would not go in. This is using a manual ratchet screwdriver. I tried to reverse that screw and turning it gently out, the "nut" piece inside the monitor apparently snapped and now the screw just is spinning, I cut the plastic washers so I could remove the base and it appear that the metal insert just broke on the back. I could mount it with three screws and it would probably be fine, but I would prefer to just return it since I have not trust in the monitor itself if something as simple as a mounting screw hole is made that cheaply. This is 4 for 4 (and surely my last) LG product that has been disappointing (our $2000 fridge, 3 years and compressor just died for example).

The panel came in with a very discolored vertical line. When it's time to return it, you have to deliver it to the carrier yourself or pay for pickup yourself, which is annoying. Update: Never mind, I was pretty sure it was a hardware issue when I saw a small dent at the top. Looks like it can be cleared if you go to settings->all settings->general->oled care->oled panel care->pixel cleaning->start now. Sucks that there's already a dent in my new monitor, and that you have to go through troubleshooting immediately upon receiving it. Not really what I expected after spending over a grand for this. What happened to QC? Usage Update: Regarding the monitor itself, it honestly feels like a downgrade from my old 45GR95QE, and I wish I had shipped it over to my new location rather than upgrading. 1. For instance, due to WebOS, when you connect your computer, it no longer automatically connects, so you must use the remote/monitor to change the input each time. 2. WebOS itself is also quite wonky. I tried Amazon Prime Video, and it's forcing me to watch 16:9 resolution, so there are huge black bars on top, right, left, and bottom. It's better to just forget about WebOS and watch it via your computer since it'll actually use the ultrawide resolution. 3. If you leave your monitor without any input for a while and it goes on standby, in addition to the standby animation, you'll occasionally see sponsored advertisements! 4. When it's off, there's some random small bright red LED, which may bother you in a completely dark room. 5. I'm not completely sure on this, but it doesn't feel as bright anymore after doing the pixel cleaning to fix my vertical line issue. I'm at maximum brightness, and I do have to strain a bit if there's a decent amount of light in my room. I noticed that another review for the 5k2k monitor could potentially corroborate the QC issue: "The screen came with pronounced streaks. Pixel cleaning fixed that but with a large decrease in brightness. ". TLDR: WebOS, quality control, new "features", user interface, and return options are actively against you. What an upgrade!

I am a LG/CNS/HSAD/PANTOS employee and I received a sample of the LG UltraGear 5K2K OLED (45GX950A) to try. This is my honest review of the product. All opinions expressed in this post are personal and should not be attributed to LG. The LG UltraGear 45" OLED is a game-changer for serious gamers and creators alike. Its stunning 5K2K resolution and buttery-smooth 240Hz refresh rate deliver unmatched clarity and responsiveness. The deep contrast and ultra-wide curve make every session feel immersive and cinematic.
