Excellent choice for 4K blu-ray discs
I've replaced an old internal DVD writer with this drive and I'm very happy with the results. For 4K blu-ray discs you need the VLC Player (free) and MakeMKV (the beta version is free as well). You also need to downgrade the firmware version from 1.04 to 1.03 (very easy with MakeMKV). You'll end up with an excellent 4K player and ripper.
