I bought this for college and while it's been decent the keyboard broke like a month into buying it. It also has very limited processing power and battery.

I have owned Macbook pros, XPS 13, and MS Surface laptops. The most important thing in a laptop for me since I'm not a creator is battery life. This combination of lightness and long battery life can't be beat. I opted for the StormTrooper white option, which only comes with 8GB of ram, but it handles a dozen tabs open just fine. The only negative tradeoff is due to the lightness, the large trackpad if flexed doesn't function well. I have to sometimes twist the keyboard back to fix the problem.

I bought this back last April after using a company issued 17" laptop from work and had high hopes buying this one for personal home use. Enjoyed the fact that it is not loaded with extras found on other brands. It performed well up until recently, during startup in the mornings bottom third of the screen is like triple vision. Overtime it seems to go away. Not sure what to make of it, I trust that this is a warranty item. Wondering if LG is aware of this or anyone else has experienced this and what the resolution might be.

I bought this laptop due to the good reviews and the weight so I could easily travel with it. This laptop operates adequately but the speakers were put on the bottom and the volume is not audible enough. The exterior scratches easily and the power cord plastic casing is damaged/broken where the wire is exposed after normal use. I have never had a power cord deteriorate this way. I had to pay for a replacement which was not cheap.

The laptop functions well in terms of processing speed. It is light weight, but does feel almost flimsy in some respects. I have just sent it out to LG for repair for the second time due to display issues. The display flickers like a strobe after a short period of use. Quite frustrating to deal with.

I was really excited for this laptop and bought it for my new job. The quality felt great, screen was vivid, battery charge lasted a long time. I was very happy until 3 months into my purchase the charging port failed and I could not charge the laptop. It needed to go to California for warranty work and now I'm without a laptop. Very disappointing. Will take weeks to get it back.

I have been using it for almost 2 years since I bought this in March last year. I usually do my personal work and watch streaming from this laptop and it has been working very well. Recently, the lcd screen seems to have an issue (sometimes showing broken images) so I need to get repair service. But I am satisfied with this laptop!

Purchased it about a year ago. The best laptop period. Super fast and super light. The only thing I don't like is how the base rattles when picked up around the edges with one hand when the screen is up. It's mostly due to it's thin base and because it's hard plastic which flexes. Aluminum or steel wouldn't do that.

As a computer programmer I had a very specific set of needs (numeric keypad, lighted keys, main ports on left side, high resolution, etc.) and I have had a lot of great laptops over the years. This is my favorite so far, by far. It has great battery life, actually get 8 hours so I don't have to haul my power adapter all over projects with me. It's super lightweight which makes a huge difference when I travel. The ergonomics, button placements, port placement, venting and all kinds of little details show that the engineers really thought hard every little bit and it adds up to a great package. I haven't found a single thing I don't like about this laptop (ok, I wish it had better graphic performance so I could do some gaming, but I'm not willing to carry the weight or lose the battery life so I'm thrilled with the compromise and balance) I run external 4K monitors and the graphics keep up great for my work (programming, nothing graphically intensive)

Purchased Gram 17" few years ago and was very happy with it. It died with a coffee spill and bought this model at Costco. It overheats quickly to the point that touching keypad is painful and the cpu performance degrades. Installed CoreTemp and it is typically over 80C. Do not try to work and charge at the same time. After weeks of frustration I discovered you can mitigate the problem by adjusting fan speed. I had been looking for fan speed control in the LG Control Center app and BIOS, but it is in the LG Smart Assist app. With the fan at max temp is acceptable, but it makes a lot of noise and I assume it will run the battery down quicker.

I reviewed all the available laptops in my price range, and thought that my recent purchase would satisfy my needs. So, I am very impressed with the processing speed, and how light it is. It has exceeded my expectations

I was looking for a computer that had longer battery power that could be on my lap all day. This LG Gram meets my expectations. Not only is it light but the battery Depending on what you're using it for lasts a good long time. I only have to charge it maybe once every 4 to 5 days. It doesn't get real hot when sitting on my lap either which I really like. It is so light I can carry it anywhere from my desk to my couch to my bed I love this.

I bought this laptop a couple of weeks ago and so far I really like this laptop! It's lightweight, super fast and all around a great laptop. The charging cord is really long and 2 pronged. This laptop has a backlit keyboard as well. The speakers are really good despite being downward firing speakers. My only complaints are that it needs another USB port (it only has 2 and I'm used to having 3 and it needs a light on the outside to show when it's done charging. Other than that I really recommend purchasing this laptop!

Bought this to replace older, slow computer with other problems. This one is fast on startup and shutdown, which is a vast improvement. The ability to shut off the key psd when a mouse is attached is another really helpful feature. The laptop works well for all we do. We recommend it. And, plan to upgrade another laptop to a similar LG sometime soon.

I bought the LG Gram 16" about two months ago to replace a Lenovo Yoga. I have been very impressed with the screen quality, speed and lightness. My daughter, who has a MacBook Air with the M1 chip was very impressed.

The is my most favorite laptop I've owned to date. It is a fantastic product LG has made. I got my Gram16 from a big box store a few months ago, but I like it so much I wanted to be sure to leave a review here at LG. I'm very glad this is the device I chose and I hope others will enjoy and put theirs to good use too. Thank you for such well engineered quality product LG!

I love the weight and speed of the computer. However after two weeks of having it, the first BSOD showed up. Ran the checks they told me to do and it said it was either the antivirus or the RAM hardware. Changing the antivirus worked...for two days, then the BSODs started again. After calling support, they said to send it in. Hopefully they will be able to fix it or send me a new one...without malfunctioning hardware. I want to write a great review, but currently, I have to write this on my old computer. Reserving judgment, but they have already had it in hand for a week and haven't even acknowledged receipt of it. Not sure how you are supposed to use your new computer without having it...and I dread having to put my files and programs back on it again. I understand things happen, and we will see how LG lives up to their end of the warranty....but talk about inconvience!

Light, convenient, responsive - white color is nice, the fingerprint reader is better than most, the only drawback is the 256 SSD.

There are many good things to say about this laptop. First of all the display is excellent; it has very good saturation, crisp text and overall excellent brightness. I currently have it set on a value of 60 and this is quite bright. The initial set-up of the machine was super easy. The combination of the fingerprint scanner and the power button is good. Since this laptop has the Intel evo certification it has been tested and must pass certain requirements to obtain that certification and it certainly does. From the time you touch that fingerprint/power button to useable Windows is seconds; it's really fast. It's equally fast opening programs and working with them. On-screen displays pop up with different key combinations to let you know when you activate various functions such as Caps Lock, Keyboard Backlight, etc. Very nice. There are reviews out there that mention the flex in the unit. Well, I don't really notice any extreme flex, I can easily pick it up from either corner without any noticeable flex. In any case it is not creaky or noisy when you do pick it up from one side. Which brings me to weight; no computer this large (16" should weigh this little! You mind plays tricks on you because you see this larger device on your desk and you anticipate it being heavy, but when you pick it up, well it is not heavy at all. In fact, the advertised weight of my MacBook Air (early 2015 13.3 inch) is 2.38lbs, this LG is only 2.62lbs; amazing. The track pad is large and just slightly off-center to the left not; really noticeable, but a good placement to help avoid unintentional input from it when typing. It is very responsive to clicking and tracking as well as scrolling. I have had absolutely no issues with unregistered or extra clicks, it just works flawlessly. The keyboard has good size and feel to it with good travel and is backlit. You can adjust the level of backlighting via the Fn+F8 option, and you can even set a "time out" for the backlight to turn off vial the LG Control Center. There is also a numeric keypad on the deck. The bundled LG Control Center makes it easy to see how things are set up on the computer and very easy to make changes from one central place. Definitely a good piece of extra software as is the LG Update Center which takes care of drivers and such that LG specifically installed that are not part of Windows Update. I don't doubt that the advertised battery life is achievable, but realistically I am getting about 14-16 hours from it. That is to be expected as I changed the default behavior of the display battery saver in the Intel Graphics control from level 6 (most conservative) to level 3. This gives me a good balance of display quality and battery life. Should I ever need to approach those higher battery numbers I would simply change that level back to 6. Also my normal activities do involve some battery draining actions, such as online games. A far as upgrading well the memory is soldered to the system board so what you buy it with is fixed. There is however a second NVMe slot inside the unit that will accommodate another SSD should you ever want to add storage. Note that to take off the bottom cover you do have to remove the feet as they hide screws. Heat of the unit is not really a problem either; there are professional reviews out there that measure temperatures, but I can say this; is it as cool on the lap as my 2020 M1 MacBook Air? No. But it is no where near as warm as my Mid 2010 MacBook Pro. I have to mention the display again, because it is absolutely perfect. When you look at the image quality this display produces, you cannot say enough about it. So if you are looking for a light and quick laptop with a large screen (16" 2560x1600) with excellent saturation and color reproduction, that is quiet and a pleasure to use?well, you found it!

Finally needed to replace my old 17" laptop as could no longer support software changes and was so slow and heavy. Waited and watched to see what could work for my needs and found great deal and good reviews on the LG gram with new Intel processor. Didn't want a touchscreen but wanted fast, lightweight and would be able to work with newer software and OS. I was able to set it up and get it working with no outside assistance, got my taxes processed and filed and love the speed and weight of it. It is so fast compared to my old one and I just need to acclimate to the numeric keypad. Recommend it highly.

This is the largest laptop I've ever gotten, however it is also the lightest laptop I've ever gotten. Even though it's so big, so the screen has alot of real estate for work, it's so light I can carry it everywehre

I received this laptop as a Christmas present from my husband. I love the feel of the keyboard and the sleekness of the machine itself. It looks good and it feels good too. I have not had any issues or problems with it as of yet. I read about how light it was before receiving it but I didn't realize it just how light it was until I had it in my hand. Never had or felt a laptop this light. Life's Good.

I bought this laptop 4 months ago and enjoy the speed and light weight. The only negative is having the speakers on the underside, which muffles the sound. LG, why didn't you put them on top of the keyboard so they are audible?

I bought the LG Gram about two months ago and this computer was all that I needed. As a small business owner, I studied different brands and options for about a month before making the purchase. There were some things I just NEEDED in a computer in order to be successful with my clients. This one had it ALL! Now, my company is ready to go completely paperless and we couldn't have done it without LG.

My first impression is that Fedex brought an empty box! This laptop is super light, perfect for traveling or having it hours on your lap will not make you tired. In addition, the battery lasts most of the day without charging. The battery prediction jumps from 6h to 14h, but it depends if you are using battery saving mode or not.
