Been running it from a ceiling mount for about the last month. Apple TV 4K, PS5, OTA antenna for football...this thing can do it all! And it's super quiet.

I am very unhappy with my purchase. The layout of my Family Room required the projector to be mounted slightly off center from the screen. What should have been a simple keystone correction has left me with a permanently trapezoidal picture. Despite this projector costing significantly more than the average projector it does not have BASIC features. I reached out to LG Tech Support and was disappointed to learn that while it does have digital keystone correction, it only has vertical NOT horizontal. Their only suggestion was to relocate the projector which is simply not possible. Unless you can be 100% positive that you're able to mount perfectly centered in relation to your screen please save yourself the headache, hassle, and money.

After 1.5 years it began overheating for no reason, it was placed on the ceiling with no obstruction and used to watch TV in a air conditioned environment. No games that would stress its capabilities. I took it to get it fix and they want $995 to replace the main board and the Engine (whatever that is) I love it while it work but I am afraid of buying another LG product and run the same luck. Personally I will stay away, and if you want to take the risk and works for you be happy and enjoy it. Something I cannot longer do.

I bought this projector a couple of weeks ago and have been nothing but impressed with the quality and performance of the unit. Such a beautiful picture with deep rich color. Great value for the price. A ton of features and easy to set up and use.

It's hard to write a detailed review against the competition, but I went with this projector since it is like having a LG TV. The fact that I can go between streaming and actual TV made this choice easy. The picture is amazing even in a slightly lit room. With over head lights on in my basement entertainment area, the picture is still great. I love the apps that are able to be downloaded straight to the projector. I would like to see them get more apps available though. The features and settings are all easy to use. I really like the magic remote. The zooming and focusing is super simple and keystone correction works well also. I was able to get this unit on sale so that took some of the sting away from the sticker price. I also bought this unit because in theory it should be the last projector I need for quite sometime. Highly Recommend.

I bought it 2 years ago and it was worth to pay for it. Only one downside is not many apps work on the project but still glad main apps work well like Net*lix, Dis*ey etc.

I purchased the HU70LAB from Amazon after seeing great reviews. While my review is going to be on the lower end, the picture quality is truly amazing and there is an amazing operating system included with this projector. There are however two critical flaws with this projector that have made my experience with it less than great. 1. The power supply is a brick (actually larger than a brick in length and width) that weighs around 5lbs and will require it?s own mount if you choose to ceiling mount the projector 2. The power supply female input on the projector is very fragile and broke on mine far too quickly after a mere month of use. LG customer service has been very helpful so far but they?ve struggled to understand the problem with the projectors power. I currently have my power supply taped to the projector to put pressure on the input to so the power will function.

Bought this in Oct. 2020, love the crisp image and smart functionalities. We ran into an issue with the image and have sent it in for repair. Other than this minor issue almost a year later it's been great

Initially I was very pleased with the item - sharp image and brighter than anticipated, though the black levels on this unit aren't great as other reviews have pointed out. The unit began shutting itself down after a few minutes of use about 3 months after I bought it. It's been shipped back for repairs as it's under warranty, but the repair process itself is frustrating. It's looking like a 5 week turnaround (no compensation has been offered) and all the information I have is due to be chasing up and sending emails. The "my repairs" area of the website says "no active repairs." All in all, a frustrating experience, but the unit itself is great when it works.

I bought this back in October. I use it all the time. I love how clear the picture is. And how good the colors are. Loads of projectors have very poor color. Not this one. Skin tones look natural. Nothing looks washed out. Just a great experience.

This has been by far, the greatest piece of entertainment equipment I’ve purchased, it does everything my LG tv does but bigger and better. Unfortunately, I ran through a lil’ problem, I have to send it out to the manufacturer to fix and I’m still waiting to get it back...kept saying “internal temp is too high” then shut off.

I love LG TV products. The fact they were able to come up with a projector with the same menu system as my old TVs is a game changer. We have an 106" screen and after some reading I was able to mount it at the right distance. This unit has a digital keystone hidden in the menu system vs a traditional button. Once I found it, it was easy to setup. You might have questions like I did over ansi lumens vs lumens you see listed for projectors. From my experience they are one in the same. I wish the unit was a little brighter. Although this is plenty bright for a dark setting, any ambient light this will not be bright enough. There remote button to focus is a nice feature and the built-in speakers are ok. I recommend pairing to LGS sound bar with wireless back speakers. I love this setup. My kids age 11 and 13 have no issues navigating the menus. I would recommend this project as its very easy to setup up and give a good enough picture. The game changer is the menu system/ features. As of today’s date Apple TV is not included but perhaps a software update will come like the other LG TVS. This is something searching the internet about this projector did not cover. The fact this project has a lighting system that can last 30K hours is fantastic. Although I am sure I will be upgrading to the next generation LG way before then!!!

The LG HU70LAB CineBeam Projector offers amazing picture quality, features and brightness at a low cost, for a 4K projector. It is packed with features including auto-focus (so you never have to worry about getting the picture perfectly crisp, smart apps (including TV Tuner, Netflix, YouTube, etc. which is great since you don't have to hook anything up to it), zoom feature if you need to make it fit a wall, Google Assistant / alexa (no typing to search for shows!) , and HDR10 with Dynamic Tone Mapping (better, brighter colors that are truer to the original). I was so surprised how vibrant and bright the colors were, even when I was using it in the day light! One of my favorite features is the remote it comes with. It is so intuitive, and the fact that it works like a mouse makes it easy to navigate the various menus and smart TV options. The only downside to the projector is the speakers. While they work if you are sitting by the projector, or if you want to watch a movie somewhere other than your home setup, you won't be happy with them long term. I would definitely recommend having a soundbar or surround sound setup to complement the projector. After having tested the projector inside, and outside for a movie night with friends, I'm confident in recommending the HU70LAB if you're looking for a high quality 4K projector. It delivers amazing picture quality, is packed with features, and has the versatility to fill a wide range of needs.

We have a finished basement that our family likes to use for entertaining. We wanted to upgrade from a TV to a projector, but didn't want to lose features of a smart TV. The LG HU70LAB 4K UHD LED Smart Home Theater CineBeam Projector was the perfect choice because it literally replaced our smart TV. The projector has a ton streaming services built in such as Netflix, Disney Plus, Fandango and more (and even more in the future with firmware updates!. Because of the UHD/4K resolution, I switched my Netflix account to the premium because it allows for 4K streaming and I wanted to get the best picture I could with the projector. The light on the projector is LED, which should last 30,000 hours according to the manual - that's 25, 000 more hours than the non LED projectors. The projector has built in speakers, but I recommend getting a blue tooth LG soundbar. The projector has blue tooth connectivity, so it's easy to set up blue tooth speakers (which is what I did). Connecting my blue tooth speakers was easy, and there are step by step prompts. The remote control that comes with the projector has many features that allow my family to focus on entertainment and not worry about how to use the remote. The remote has Google Assistant, a direct access button to Netflix and Amazon Video, voice recognition, and the LG ThinQ technology. What I like most about the remote is the voice recognition because it allows my kids and elderly parents use the remote with ease. My elderly parents have always been confused by remotes, but the voice recognition on this remote is excellent. The projector connected wireless to my home internet which made the smart features available. I was undecided whether to mount the projector or have it sit table side, but now that I've used it table side, I suggest mounting it if possible. The reason I suggest this is because it connects using wireless and blue tooth, it's ok to have it out of the way to make the room look more sleek, physically accessing the projector isn't necessary. It's not necessary to have, but a universal projector mount is a possible accessory that you may want to look into purchasing. We currently have the projector projecting on a 120 inch screen and the picture looks fantastic. I like that we can watch movies or TV with the light on or off due to the brightness. I also like how realistic and bright the colors are. It's enjoyable to watch movies, tv, and play video games! I highly recommend. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

Let me begin by saying this projector is the best projector I have ever owned. When I first recieved this unit I tried it on the bare wall and it looked pretty good. Then I purchased a 120" 4k screen and big difference. I was blown away by the picture quality. The smart features worked flawlessly. The apps load right away. There is quite a few apps to choose from. Movies load with not too much buffer time. The remote is one of my favorite features. Love the way I can just point the remote to the screen and the cursor moves around screen like a computer mouse. With the built in Alexa I was able to just talk to the remote and it responded right away. I was really impressed with the built in speakers but when watching a movie I paired my bluetooth soundbar and it was way better. The 4k video is awesome. I hooked up my video game console to the projector and it handled it very well. Even with a couple of wrinkles on my screen the picture quality of the projector was great. I had movie night with my kids and they loved it. I cant wait to host fight night with this projector. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this product. Unboxing it was a breeze and made my day that much easier. Probably my favorite thing about this projector is that it is Bluetooth enabled so I dont have to have a thousand cords running to the projector or have my media center anywhere close to it honestly. I have the power cord and one hdmi cord ran to it and everything else is bluetooth for us. One thing that I wish was an option on this projector was Hulu streaming services. While searching the store for it, its not listed anywhere to be able to add it to this projectors apps . I dont have cable and use only streaming services so that is a downfall for me. I have my projector hooked up to a surround sound receiver which sounds amazing. If it wasn't hooked up to it, I use just the speakers in the projector itself which are of great quality. Very loud and good sound. It doesn't get distorted at all when at maximum volume. The picture quality is breathtaking. The remote is really responsive so long as you are pointing in the direction of the projector itself. There are 2 viewing lenses for it and without the remote being able to see those, it goes a little wonky. The cursor on it is very responsive. I love it. Overall its a 10/10 rating from my family .

Setup was quick enough. At first glance, with some ambient light, I was extremely impressed. I have been using it mainly for movies, and the color is truly excellent. The color is what makes this LED projector shine. This LG projector delivers both 4K and HDR. There is a built-in speaker that is decent. Bluetooth is available to connect external speaker or wireless headset LG's WebOS is integrated just like their TV's. The magic remote is just that. Magic. I really like the motion control cursor and the smart features of the projector providing you with built-in apps such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. Another great feature here is how QUIET it is! A noisy projector can be annoying and distracting while watching movies, this is a definite plus that it is quiet. The connectivity options available in the projector are great and include HDMI, USB, USB C (you can connect your smartphone, LAN, and optical audio.

First and foremost this is an amazing home theater projector. Perfect size as it is not too bulky or too small. With 15000 Lumins this projector gives off an amazing 4K picture. The blacks are true blacks and the colors are very vibrant. This projector is feature packed with LG Contents store that allows you to install various apps. 2x HDMI and 1 USB-C allows for external connects to devices such as gaming consoles and media streaming devices. This CineBeam projector has Google Assistant and Alexa Capabilities which worked wonderfully. The sound quality from the internal speakers are average. I strongly suggest using an external speaker system for larger spaces as the sound could get lost. LG's Content store for the projector is ok. The Magic remote is east to use and very responsive. The remote has dedicated Netflix and Amazon Video buttons which worked well. Built into this system is the ability to recognize external devices such as my Nintendo Switch which is really cool. A litany of mobile apps allow you to use a tablet or mobile device as a remote as well. From 9' away you get an 84" screen and can max out at around 120". The setup for this projector was super easy. My only wish for this device is to have more video streaming apps available or the ability to cast apps from an external device to the projector. The response rate of video and sound is amazing. I give the LG CineBeam HU70LAB projector a 5/5 stars . I only wish for the price that there are more apps available .
