I have to confess that after having a total of three prior projectors. This has got to be the best one that I have had. I love the color range. I love how quiet it is. I do enjoy the connectivity that I have with it the fact that I can watch off air TV on it.  Although I have one burned out pixel, which is sometimes annoying. I'm sure I can take at least two more years out of it before I upgrade to the next one I truly believe LG makes awesome TVs and projectors. Please keep up the good work.

The projector also no longer communicates with the remote. I took excellent care of this projector and used it minimally since I bought it (definitely less than 1000 hours of use). I'm overall disappointed by the quality of the build, and of course, the warranty has already expired. With the price of this projector, I expected it to last much longer than this. LG customer service was totally useless and basically referred me to the Best Buy Geek Squad for additional help. I was happy with it until it stopped working.

Been running it from a ceiling mount for about the last month.  Apple TV 4K, PS5, OTA antenna for football...this thing can do it all!  And it's super quiet.

I have it for a month and so far it's good for the price. The blacks aren't the best but other than that I enjoy it.

Accurate colors

Product is great, vibrant colors but for a product his quality the power supply must be built in and controlled within remote to avoid clutter and need to constantk6 unplug.

But customer service quality is year 1990 not 2024. Arrogant, ignorant, insensitive, unresponsive, inefficient, incompetent and I can find very apt words in the dictionary and they will easily fit the bill.

I am very unhappy with my purchase. The layout of my Family Room required the projector to be mounted slightly off center from the screen. What should have been a simple keystone correction has left me with a permanently trapezoidal picture. Despite this projector costing significantly more than the average projector it does not have BASIC features. I reached out to LG Tech Support and was disappointed to learn that while it does have digital keystone correction, it only has vertical NOT horizontal. Their only suggestion was to relocate the projector which is simply not possible. Unless you can be 100% positive that you're able to mount perfectly centered in relation to your screen please save yourself the headache, hassle, and money.

Buyer Beware!

After 1.5 years it began overheating for no reason, it was placed on the ceiling with no obstruction and used to watch TV in a air conditioned environment. No games that would stress its capabilities. I took it to get it fix and they want $995 to replace the main board and the Engine (whatever that is) I love it while it work but I am afraid of buying another LG product and run the same luck.  Personally I will stay away, and if you want to take the risk and works for you be happy and enjoy it. Something I cannot longer do.

Problems Overheating

Defective backlight LEDs. After only about 1000 hours everything is blue. Every part of the menu is blue, as well as all sources, apps... everything. It's the backlight. LG BRUSHED ME OFF AND THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE. IT'S ONLY TWO YEARS OLD. LG is known for using substandard Vestel LEDs in its televisions, which burn out prematurely. Hmm. Time for a new class action against LG? Selling defective projectors with parts that can't be replaced?

Defective and no support

I bought this projector a couple of weeks ago and have been nothing but impressed with the quality and performance of the unit. Such a beautiful picture with deep rich color. Great value for the price. A ton of features and easy to set up and use.

Crystal clear

It's hard to write a detailed review against the competition, but I went with this projector since it is like having a LG TV. The fact that I can go between streaming and actual TV made this choice easy. The picture is amazing even in a slightly lit room. With over head lights on in my basement entertainment area, the picture is still great. I love the apps that are able to be downloaded straight to the projector. I would like to see them get more apps available though. The features and settings are all easy to use. I really like the magic remote. The zooming and focusing is super simple and keystone correction works well also. I was able to get this unit on sale so that took some of the sting away from the sticker price. I also bought this unit because in theory it should be the last projector I need for quite sometime. Highly Recommend.

Amazing Projector, you really can't go wrong

DO NOT BUY THIS PROJECTOR.  I barely had over 1000 hours on this project after 3 years of use when the LED stop working. it is out of warranty. The repair shop can not find find any parts for this projector. Now, it is a paper weight.  The only good feature on this projector was the picture quality when it was working.

I bought it 2 years ago and it was worth to pay for it. Only one downside is not  many apps work on the project but still glad main apps work well like Net*lix, Dis*ey etc.

I?ve own it for 2 years and use in place of a tv so it gets used a lot and no problems. For the money it?s awesome.

Don?t listen to the complainers

Great picture during the day or night.  Hook my speakers to it. Can get over 100 inches easily.  Have no complaints.  Glad i bought this product.

I bought for my family while deployed. They love it! Highly recommended.

I ?ungraded? to this projector for it?s smart feature however after setting up there is no app for you tube tv. Which is what I use for my provider, was told it was coming. That was two years ago. Made the best of it and screen shared from my phone. Now that is not available soooo.. it is basically useless to me. About only plus is it has a good picture in bright lighting. But overall this projector is garbage. Customer support is of no help. Will be last LG product I buy and I love my LG tv?s.. I cannot overstate how much I do not recommend this projector.

Use every day for xbox/ps5 and beautiful colors and amaxing 4k screen. I use a 120 inch screen and it rivials movie theaters.

I bought this 3 months ago... I am glad i chose this one have great apps complimented by a Magic Remote to pair with. It rivals my 65 inch Oled with the similarity in function, quality performance.

Nice app features with Magic Remote

I purchased the HU70LAB from Amazon after seeing great reviews. While my review is going to be on the lower end, the picture quality is truly amazing and there is an amazing operating system included with this projector. There are however two critical flaws with this projector that have made my experience with it less than great.

1. The power supply is a brick (actually larger than a brick in length and width) that weighs around 5lbs and will require it?s own mount if you choose to ceiling mount the projector

2. The power supply female input on the projector is very fragile and broke on mine far too quickly after a mere month of use.

LG customer service has been very helpful so far but they?ve struggled to understand the problem with the projectors power. I currently have my power supply taped to the projector to put pressure on the input to so the power will function.

Not the best design

Bought this in Oct. 2020, love the crisp image and smart functionalities. 
We ran into an issue with the image and have sent it in for repair. Other than this minor issue almost a year later it's been great

Overall great product

So I have had this projector for almost a year I occasionally used it untill I move to a new house on April and started to use it almost every Day. I love the quality and picture of the projector it really over exceeded my expectations now obviously for best quality it has to be dark I mean have you ever seen a movie at the movies with the light on? Anyways I decided to give it a try on my PS4 on looked great but here come the down side when I started to use the HDR/4k part of the projector after 10 minutes of gaming it started overheating like literally will give you a message that will shut down the projector after a good minute. It's been about 11 days since I sended my projector for service given that its still under warranty and haven't heard a thing about it. I just wanted to add that I was told by the LG representative and technician that the problem my projector have has never been reported before so take it with a grain of salt, it's a great projector totally love it and perhaps I got unlucky and mine was defective. I just hope I can get it back soon.

Amazing for my  first projector

Initially I was very pleased with the item - sharp image and brighter than anticipated, though the black levels on this unit aren't great as other reviews have pointed out.

The unit began shutting itself down after a few minutes of use about 3 months after I bought it. It's been shipped back for repairs as it's under warranty, but the repair process itself is frustrating. It's looking like a 5 week turnaround (no compensation has been offered) and all the information I have is due to be chasing up and sending emails. The "my repairs" area of the website says "no active repairs." All in all, a frustrating experience, but the unit itself is great when it works.

Stopped working after 3 months

Worth every penny spent. Color and clarity is simply superb.

This product failed right out of the box for me. Image would go dark in the middle of watching a movie while the sound is still coming through. Either I am extremely unlucky or LG has serious quality control issues. This is the second time a brand new LG product failed on me. Previously I had purchased a gaming monitor and within a month's time, there were horizonal and vertical lines going across the screen. Customer service was terrible as well, no communication from them whatsoever, I had to keep calling and following up only to find out there was no replacement parts and was on backorder indefinitely.

I used to watch so many different projectors brands but this one for me is perfect the importance is the picture it’s true 4K I love it. I would recommend !!!
