The app store doesnt work and there are barely any apps available. dumbest smart tv out there. renders your projector useless without good and properly functioning apps like Amazon Video, and no HBO.

I live in a small apartment so a short throw projector is a fantastic way have a big picture without a TV taking over the living room. Very bright, I can watch with the blinds open. Excellent remote and very good settings. Skin tone can be a little hot sometimes but not always. I wish audio out plug was on the back of the projector with the other cables instead of the side, as it is sticking out the side makes it look a little messy.

Purchased this as the projector that we had ordered was cancelled and this was the closest to it (short throw instead of long throw). Pros - Good brightness and picture quality, a significant upgrade from our old projector. Cons -Our projector screen is at the top of our wall and I intended to ceiling mount this. Due to how the mirror is for the short throw the only way I could get the picture onto the screen was to have it tilted enough that keystone correction couldn't get the image to a rectangle, it was very skewed. For my particular use case it did not work.

Picture size and contrast compared to competitors at its time. Lacking in lumens to competitors though. Disappointed in removal of 3D capability. Even if replaced for webos3. In my use 3D feature better than a stripped down version of the smart webos 3 of your tv lineup. Disappointing app availability understandable due to penetration of product in market. I just treat it as a dumb ust with inputs from atv4 ps4 pro and oppo bluray. No YouTube on lg store for download but why does my phone see it similar to how my atv appears. Nothing happens when I select it on phone though unlike atv as it has YouTube app to manage a que list. I strongly dislike marketing like this that promise feature only to remove it. I was expecting 3D than accepted it’s built in apps only to experience layout and ui of lg smart tv but not same capability. No updates released either to update security. If I could control it through apple home or lg smartthinq ai through a update. Would be a happy clam with lg experience similar to my experience with company when it did business with now defunct Philacor which my deceased relative owned. I remember receiving as a corporate gift this planner with plastic shell with a keycard lock like in hotels back then accompanied with a cartridge dispenser that dispensed ball pen sign pen highlighter mechanical pencil and a small Swiss army like knife. Going to school with it and looking like James Bond. Other wise happy and looking forward to new 4K HDR ust projector announced that followed release of the hu80ka. Hoping memory zoom to get cinescope 2:35:1 as It can’t run a anamorphic lens in font of beam. Someway to get cinescope on ust would truly set industry first. Rather than 4th or 5th in terms of first brand to release. LG rairly does this as it did with using ess dac in one of the smart phones, but I know LG has the know how ever since it was Lucky Goldstar and not life’s good

Picture is great.Very stylish and the remote is fun to used. The reflector mirror looks cheap and can peel-off, the smart-tv function is a little slow and i wish the brightness to be more generous for the price.Still i love this projector .

Very happy with this purchase. I had a 42" TV before, going now to 100" is just awesome. The picture quality is very good and I am just projecting on a regular wall. Everyone in my family had a smile after seeing the picture. I did a lot of research, especially on Projector Central, before buying and I have to say LG projectors are the best right now in terms of value, features, and quality. It took me about 5 minutes to set it up since it is a Ultra Short Throw projector - no long wires to mess around or install a ceiling mounting system. Right out of the box, the picture quality was very good. You definitely need a sound system to complement the nice, big picture. The WebOS already has plenty of content (Netflix, Amazon, etc. and I hope it includes more apps in the future through updates.

This was the perfect projector for my small viewing area. But it failed after three weeks of use. LG has been very helpful about arranging to get it fixed.

The picture is actually unbelievable. It does not get the same updates as some of my other LG smartTVs though, so the apps available at his time are limited. Specifically I was trying to get the Play Movies & TV app from Google which showed up no problem on my other TVs but cannot be found anywhere on this projector. Let me say again- the picture in really unreal. Fantastic for Netflix, Vudu, and Live TV among other apps. Hopefully will get better updates, but seems to be on a different schedule, or the tech is slightly older and cannot support some of the newer apps (?). Just don't lose sight of the fact that is is amazing to watch.

I love mine personally but there needs to be one without all the extra add-ons. Simply put it costs to much, still hurting from buying this thing. There needs to be a simple model, I never use the web os, wifi, and I really don't care about the blutooth... I just want to plug it into my computer and use it... all in all its good and works but it hurts in the wallet... If you want a simple unit this isn't for you and I don't suggest you buy it unless your size and wall weight restrained like I am... Ironically I score it low in features because it has way to many features that I could care less about...

The industrial design as an object is very beautiful and innovative. Despite the invention of this product type as a near-field projector (which didn't exist before) it maintains a surprisingly small package for itself taking up little space. However, it suffers like so many projectors before it from loud fan noise and unfortunately has no built in connectivity to OS (Mac) devices which is a shame.

Fairly easy to set up. Has stood up to being tussled to and from shows. Looks great. Once I figured out the basic settings it's been solid and very easy to figure out. We use it with a raspberry pi computer and using the higher def on that gives us great backing videos during shows. Starts up fast, the remote works like magic and shuts down fast.

I got this for the bedroom because it will throw a great picture from a dresser and not look like you have a huge TV in the room. I just wish it got updates, LG seems to release new thing each month then never updates them. This one can't run any of the new apps and even the ones it can run are buggy at best. Plex app always needs you to re-login. This makes me give this lower stars.

You can mount it upside down. I confirmed this. It also has 3 mount holes for hanging it upside down. Image flips and reverses for rear screen and upside down rear screen installation. Fan is loud. On-board speaker is cra**y (of course). great for home theater.

I bought this thinking it would be ok. I was blown away it is a great projector work well in light but it shines in the dark of course. The remote crapped out on me but that can be replaced.
